Chapter 274 Clarissa Is Pregnant with Damien‘s Babies Madelynn‘s palm swiped across Connie‘s cheek with a loud slap.

Lately, Madelynn had been greatly annoyed by Connie‘s greed. Connie was Madelynn‘s assistant first and foremost, yet she dared to set her heart on the path of acting. Madelynn felt that Connie was being way over her head, seeing as she didn‘t have a theatrical background nor connections to help her out with her dream.

“I told you to borrow a haute couture gown from the designers! Yet this is the best you can find?” Madelynn seethed while pointing at a hole on the gown.

She was already furious at Connie for accepting acting roles here and there to begin with. That slap was the catalyst that allowed her to scold Connie all she wanted.

Connie‘s ego was bruised, but all she could do was endure the humiliation.

“Do you still want to remain as my assistant? I can always fire you if you no longer want to remain on the job!” Madelynn continued.

Now, Connie was definitely in the line of fire.

“Of course.” Connie prided herself on her endurance. She was willing to do anything just to achieve her goal. Once she was done appeasing Madelynn, she would have plenty of chances to accept more acting roles in the future.
