Love in Twilight novel (Clarissa and Damien) novel Chapter 391

Chapter 391 I’ll Eat If You’re the One Cooking It was three in the evening by the time Clarissa got home.

Yonah was at work.

She went to her room, took off her jacket, and tied her hair up. Dressed in a fluffy white sweater, she sat down at her desk and started studying.

She didn’t even blink an eye.

“Didn’t you notice there’s someone else in the room?” Damien’s voice rang out languidly from behind her.

How could she have missed him?

The moment she had stepped into the room, she saw that he was awake but was still in bed. He had been leaning against the bed frame without any clothes on.

It was a wonder that he didn’t feel cold.

“I did.” As Clarissa spoke, she put on a pair of silver-rimmed plain glasses. The bed was behind the desk. Damien saw that she had put on glasses, but he couldn’t see what sort of glasses they were.

He was interested in them.

After all, she had once said that he looked like a polished scoundrel with glasses on. He wondered how she looked.

“Have you become short-sighted?” He cocked his head, trying to see what she looked like with glasses on, but to no avail. He could only see her straight back.

“I’ve always been, but it’s not bad enough that I had to wear glasses. It’s just that I can’t see clearly in class sometimes, so I had to get a pair iade,” Clarissa said.

“Why didn’t you come back at noon? Didn’t you want to have a video call with your son?”

She clenched her fists. “I had to do something. Aren’t you going to be staying here for a while?”

“Do you want me to leave?”

“Hmm… it’s complicated. I can’t explain it to you.”

“What was so important that it could delay you from seeing Neil?” Damien lit a cigarette.

It looked like Clarissa wasn’t going to be able to study this evening.

She spun her pen. “I’ll go and see what’s in the fridge. Don’t get your hopes up, though. Yonah and I normally eat out. We don’t have many ingredients at home.”

“Go on,” he said.

She had no choice but to stand up.

The moment she turned around, Damien saw what her glasses looked like. They were flat on top and round at the bottom, and the silver rim had a hint of pink. Instead of looking nerdy or dull, she actually looked pretty good in them. The glasses, coupled with her white sweater made her look somewhat seductive. She didn’t look like a mother at all.

Clarissa pushed her glasses up. “Based on what I remember, there are only buffalo wings in the fridge. Is that okay?” “I’ll eat if you’re the one cooking.” Damien’s gaze was fiery as he appraised her.

It seemed like there was something new every time he laid eyes on her. She was so much better than Madelynn and the like.

Clarissa went to the kitchen.
