Grace stared at the phone, a faint smile curling on her lips.
From the timing and the information she had gathered through the people she planted around Irvin, she figured that he was probably already sneaking into Timothy's base.
That was why she had deliberately made that call.
Grace wanted Irvin to die in that hellhole for harming her. She also wanted Timothy to suffer a loss. She wouldn't spare anyone who had ever hurt her.
Whether it was Irvin or Timothy, she only wanted to keep her babies. She didn't need a father for them.
Neither of the men had ever treated Grace with respect. In fact, they had humiliated her. Therefore, she was determined to turn them against each other.
…
After ending the call with Grace, Timothy immediately pulled up the surveillance feed of my room and called Simon at the same time.
Just as the feed appeared on the screen, Simon answered the call. "What's wrong, boss?"
"Go to Emilia's room right now and check if she's there," Timothy ordered.
Although the screen showed me in the room, going about my usual activities, his sharp instincts told him something was off. He was afraid the feed had been tampered with, so he needed Simon to confirm my presence immediately.
Simon, who always worked seamlessly with Timothy, didn't need to ask any questions. He immediately dropped what he was holding and sprinted toward my room.
As Simon ran, Timothy's fingers flew across the keyboard. In no time, he confirmed that the footage he was watching had indeed been swapped out.
At the same time, the people Irvin had planted within the organization began fighting against those who had come to stop us after the alarm went off
Irvin and William were both powerful and intelligent. Their plans were meticulous. Especially for something as critical as rescuing me, they had multiple contingency plans in action to ensure my safety.
As soon as Irvin gave the command, he pulled me back to a safer area.
Just as we got there, a thunderous boom echoed through the space.
The towering steel gate of the compound collapsed instantly. Before the dust settled, William came charging in with his men.
Irvin hurriedly handed me over to William. "Take Emi out of here. I'll cover you."
