Lovin You Is Not A Secret novel Chapter 9

When Eva got downstairs and wanted to take the bus, she saw Nathan's car at the door and was stunned for a moment. When Eva tried to walk around it, the car window slowly lowered, revealing Caleb's handsome but impassive face.

"Get in," Caleb said.

Eva looked embarrassed and refused with a smirk, "Mr. Livingstone, I dare not to have you drive for me. I'll just take the bus back."

"Liam wants to see you, so get in the car," Caleb said coldly.

Eva had no choice but to get into the car. She had wanted to sit in the back. However, she changed her mind and moved carefully to the passenger seat due to Caleb's glare.

Eva thought, "Mr. Livingstone is too domineering. Without Nathan by his side, I'm so scared! Why must I suffer from this?"

"Are you afraid of me?" Caleb spoke coldly.

Eva was shocked, "No. Not at all."

Before Caleb could say something, Eva hurriedly changed the topic. "Why did Liam want to see me? Where is he? Is his fever brought down? "

"He's still in the hospital. You'll know when you see him," Caleb turned to reply and glanced at Eva meaningfully.

It sent a chill down Eva's spine. She thought she should have worn a puffer jacket today...

Eva arrived at the hospital and met Nathan. According to Nathan, Liam woke up not long after she left. Probably because Liam was too young and Nathan didn't do well in taking care of him, Liam kept throwing a tantrum after waking up.

"Miss Sommers, please come in," Caleb said coldly.

Eva walked into the ward and found that the ward was even better than the ward she lived in before. Eva couldn't believe that Liam had thrown a fit here.

Seeing Eva, Liam jumped off the bed instantly and threw himself into Eva's arms.

"Kid, your name is Liam, right?" Eva squatted down and looked at Liam, asking softly.

Liam nodded obediently. With all the hostility in his eyes dissipating, he nestled in Eva's arms like a puppy.

"Then what is your full name? I'm Eva. 'Eva' means 'life'." Eva tried to comfort Liam.
