"You smell powerful. Though I hate to say this, I am the son of Ereves, the king of darkness," he announced, just as Ereves had instructed him, knowing that many of them feared him, fear that ran so deep they could not even destroy Ereves without seeking help outside their world many years ago.
His words made them gasp, and many began to move back, but Thomas stood his ground, arms folded against his chest as he continued regarding Rohan.
"A half demon. No wonder you could come here. Do you think that by telling us you are Ereves’ son, we will fear you and hand over the prisoners?" 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
"That wasn’t the plan actually," Rohan replied smoothly. "I don’t hope you would fear me because of who sired me. I hope to make you fear me because I am me. I like it when people shiver at the thought of my name, which we are getting there. Now, before we get into knowing me, I want to know where you keep the prisoners."
Thomas let out a laugh. "Ereves’ blood indeed, the arrogance runs in your veins. But boy, I will make you regret coming here when only half his blood runs in you." Saying that, Thomas teleported from his place and appeared in front of Rohan, grabbing his neck and shoving him against the wall of the platform, the force breaking parts of the wall along with the platform itself.
"You’re strong," Rohan choked out as he was slammed to the ground with a force enough to crack it.
Thomas smirked. "I am more than a thousand years old, Dagon, as old as your father. Do you think a fifty-year-old half demon like you can defeat or fight me?" Saying that, he didn’t give Rohan a chance to counter his strength. A long, sharp stiletto sword appeared in his hand, and he raised it, thrusting it into Rohan’s stomach, pinning him to the ground.
Rohan’s eyes turned bloodshot, and blood flowed from his nose as pain shot through every nerve in his body, leaving him unable to rise.
Thomas grinned as he watched the half demon. "Pathetic. Take him to the prison to join the rest; he is now a prisoner of our world." Saying that, the demon turned to leave, intending to resume his party and dance with his women, confident that no demon of darkness could fight when pierced by a stiletto made of their energy, which naturally repelled dark demons, especially one who was half, a weakling.
However, he didn’t expect to hear Dagon laugh like a maniac behind him.
"Actually, you’ve got it wrong. I am seventy-four years old, and I defeated Ereves in a fight," Rohan said. Thomas turned in time to see him break the stiletto sword into two, pull it out of his stomach, and rise to his feet, his eyes deadly black and dark veins crawling across his skin as the long claws on his nails grew sharper.
"Wha—" Thomas began to say, but Rohan moved with the speed of light, appearing behind him, thrusting the half-broken stiletto sword into his stomach, then speeding back to his front to grab his neck with one hand while thrusting the other hand into his chest, wrapping his fingers around Thomas’s heart.
"Tsk, before you try to kill a half demon next time, first figure out what his other half is," Rohan said, tilting his head with a smirk. "I wasn’t bred with a human but a pureblood vampire. Now, where were we?" Thomas’s eyes went wide, realizing that Rohan could kill him by ripping out his heart, which his hand was now wrapped around.
The other demons watching rushed forward to help their lord, but Rohan warned, "Ah, ah, ah. I wouldn’t come any closer if I were you. Step forward and I will rip his heart out along with his head." His dark eyes bored into Thomas’s silver ones.
"How dare—" Thomas began, but Rohan tightened his grip on his heart, making him groan.
"What do you want?!" Thomas said quickly, panic overtaking him before this abnormal demon could kill him in his own realm.
"Now you’re talking. I want the demons you have in captivity in exchange for your life," Rohan bargained.
