(Author’s POV)
’I need to have a talk with Wendy. I don’t want her to get involved and be caught up between werewolves. He may seem harmless, even innocuous, but I know how dangerous he and his world are," Myra thought as she followed Dion with her eyes.
Unconsciously, she was eyeballing his every single move. From the way he was interacting in the class to his body language. His talk, his walk, whether he was looking at her or Wendy. What expression he was making. Even his hand placement, the way his fingers were loosely interlinked with his elbows at his waist. She has been observing it all.
Andy again came close to her, though he maintained a safe distance this time, trying not to repeat what happened a few moments ago. He then said in a lower, raspy voice, "Are you also captivated by Dion Everests’s charm?"
Myra tilted her head to look at Andy and calmly replied, "I was just being attentive in his lecture. Why did you say that?"
"Nothing~ .... The way you were boring eyes at him, I thought~ ... Forget it," Andy muttered. He was in the middle of saying something when Wendy pulled Myra towards her and murmured in her ear, "Sis~ .... after the lecture, let’s go and greet Prof. Everests properly. Yesterday, I couldn’t introduce you to him properly."
Myra pursed her lips, then licked them lightly as she stated, her voice collected, "I don’t think that is a good idea. After all, Prof. Everests is here as a guest professor. He is a busy man. Let’s not disturb him, umm."
Although Wendy was eager to meet him, she found her sister’s words reasonable. Actually, she wanted to ask Dion about Elio and whether he had landed safely or not. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
After that, the class ran like clockwork, without any hitch. The students were not just enraptured by Dion’s looks or mannerisms. They were thoroughly impressed by his deep and extensive knowledge about the origins and histories behind various artworks and sculptures, not just the famous ones. But also, the low key ones. Everyone sitting in that class, whether they were from fine arts, or finance, or sports or engineering, they could tell that this guy was well and truly qualified to be invited as a guest lecturer.
As soon as the time was up, Dion didn’t waste his as well as others’ time and said his goodbyes, "Okay, class~ ... it is time for the lecture to end."
The students all unanimously outcried, not wanting to end the class just yet. May even commented, "For the first time, I don’t want the lecture to end. LET’S EXTEND IT SOME MORE."
Wendy looked at her and muttered, "Same girl, same. I wish we could extend it for some more time. Aein! ... this isn’t fair. WE DON’T WANT THE CLASS TO END." She joined in with her classmates as well.
On the other hand, Myra was relieved. ’Finally, it is over. As soon as he steps out, I am going straight to my department,’ her internal monologue was at it again.
Dion chuckled and remarked, "I am glad you all liked my class. Although I lack experience, this is my first time giving such a lecture, you see." He then clapped lightly and added, making a regretful and pitiful face, "But unfortunately~ .... I have a prior appointment with someone very important and need to be there."
The way he said it made waves across the class, as someone dared to ask, "Prof., if you don’t mind, is it your girlfriend?" Everyone was anticipating his answer, boys, girls alike. For girls, they wanted to know whether the coast was clear or not. Although a guy like Dion, they expected him to have a lover. As for the boys, some of them were gay or bisexual, while the remaining were afraid because of their girlfriends.
Surprisingly, Myra’s ears perked up at this question as well. Her mind suddenly flashed with their riverside kiss in his secret place. But she quickly shook her head and dispersed this odd feeling.
In reply, Dion only gave them a sheepish smile and said, "Who knows~"
The crowd started hooting and cheering for him. He calmed them down and continued, "Okay, okay~ .... Time out, everybody. I know this is your trick for extending the class. But all good things had to end." Saying this, he flashed another one of his signature smiles and said, "Now you may all disperse."
He then grabbed his jet black coat jacket from the chair, which was now hung on his muscular arm and walked out casually.
As soon as he went out, the class erupted again, with chatter. From his Greek god like appearance to his muscular and veiny arms. From his dressing sense, how he was making a basic black suit and white shirt look like a fashion piece, to his deep rooted knowledge about the topic. They talked about everything. They were all gushing over him as they packed their bags and walked out of the lecture hall, one by one.
"Are you coming to the cafeteria with us?" Andy asked Myra.
