Mated to My Fiancé’s Alpha King Brother (Seraphina and Damien) novel Chapter 246

246 Chapter 246

Damien’s Perspective

Lucas pivoted toward the door, his movements sharp and purposeful. He was ready to leave, eager to escape the chaos that had engulfed us both.

“Wait,” I called out, my voice firm enough to halt him mid-motion.

His hand froze on the doorknob, hesitation creeping in.

“Find Gabriel,” I demanded.

Lucas slowly turned back, confusion evident in his eyes. “What?”

“Gabriel,” I repeated, rising from my seat. My legs felt steadier now, fueled by a fierce anger that seemed to burn away any lingering weakness. “Find him. Now.”

“Damien, what—”

“He’s probably hiding somewhere,” I said, moving toward the window and staring blankly into the night outside. “Hiding like the coward he is. But find him anyway.”

Lucas took a step closer, brows furrowed. “Why? What the hell is going on? Why Gabriel now? Tell me what happened.”

I studied him carefully, really looked at him—my closest friend, the one person who had never lied or betrayed me.

He deserved to know, at least part of the truth.

“Emma. Your cousin Emma,” I said quietly.

His expression went blank. “Yeah? So?”

“You might want to find her too,” I added, my voice dropping into a cold, flat tone. “While you’re at it.”

“Emma?” He frowned, skepticism clear in his voice. “Why would I—”

“Because I’m going to deal with all of them,” I said, turning back to the window. “One by one. Gabriel. Emma. Every single person who thought they could ruin my life and walk away unscathed.”

A heavy silence settled between us.

Finally, Lucas broke it. “Damien. What did they do?”

I couldn’t bring myself to answer. The words felt like knives in my chest, and speaking them would only make me want to punch through the wall.

The hotel. The drugs. The setup. Emma’s pregnancy. The look on Sera’s face when she found out.

All of it was orchestrated, meticulously planned.

By my own brother.

“Just find them,” I said, voice low.

“I need more than that,” Lucas replied, his tone hardening. “You want me to hunt down my own cousin. I need to understand why.”

“She’s pregnant.”

The words hung heavily between us.

He studied my face, searching for something—truth, maybe, or sanity.

“Yeah,” he said at last. “Yeah, I’m with you. Always.”

Relief washed over me in a rush. “Thank you.”

“But if we’re doing this, we do it smart,” Lucas warned, crossing his arms. “No rushing in blind. No making things worse.”

“Agreed.”

“So what’s the plan?”

I returned to my desk, sitting down and letting my mind race through the possibilities.

“Gabriel first,” I said. “If you can find him. But he’s probably already vanished, knowing I’ll come after him once everything unravels.”

“So we start with Emma.”

I nodded slowly. “Yeah. Emma’s still here. Close by. She has to be. She wouldn’t go far—not with the baby.”

“You want me to bring her here?”

“Yes.” The word was firm, resolute. “Bring her to me. I’ll get the truth out of her.”

Lucas shifted uneasily. “And how exactly do you plan to do that?”

I felt the chill creep back into my voice. “I’ll find a way. Trust me. I’ll find a way.”
