Mending a Broken Love (Sebastian and Roxanne) novel Chapter 128

Jensen tapped his phone a couple of times, and then Mason's phone buzzed.

Jensen looked at Mason and said, "I just sent it to you. Take a look. You always said that no one could keep up with your rhythm on the piano, that your music didn't need any dance. But if you watch that woman, you'll see that she matched every single note perfectly. It's flawless."

As Jensen spoke, Mason had already opened the video on his phone. At first, his expression remained casual. But as the video progressed, his expression grew serious, then focused. Finally, he was filled with pure joy.

Mason was a renowned pianist. Unlike others who enjoyed blending their music with dance or other art forms, he preferred solo performances. His pride and arrogance made him believe that no dance could truly complement his music.

He had tried combining it with dance in the past, but if the dance didn't match the emotions or rhythm of his music, he felt it was unnecessary. But the video Jensen had captured was different. The dance and the piano blended perfectly.

The piece Mason had composed first came to him when he watched a video of a towering snow-capped mountain transforming into a golden peak under the sunset. The sight had shaken him deeply. He felt the inspiration surge through him as he composed the piece, and he asked Jensen to record it while he performed the piece live earlier.

The music flowed with fluctuating highs and lows, with sudden shifts and smooth transitions. It was completely spontaneous, a reflection of his impromptu inspiration.

Yet in the video, the dancer moved in perfect harmony with every note and beat.

She seemed to know exactly what he was going to play next. Her dance responded to his music, creating a perfect dialogue between the two.

It was like meeting a kindred spirit, someone who truly understood him—a musical soulmate.

This realization overwhelmed him. Without thinking, Mason rushed out the door. He had to find her. He had to make her his muse.

Seeing how determined Mason was, Jensen followed him out. But by the time they reached the streets, Roxanne had disappeared.

Mason turned to Jensen. "You check the store on the left, I'll take the one on the right. We have to find her!"
