Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 175

Nicholas was completely at a loss for words, hoping for someone to save him from this situation.

What kind of doom spiral had this become? Roxanne had actually married another man without a word? So, did this mean that the last time Sebastian got a call from someone saying that they found Roxanne's marriage certificate was true?

Everything about this situation was batshit crazy. Roxanne was one ruthless woman. She just got married out of the blue!

Now that Sebastian had finally realized his feelings for her, wasn't she just putting him in a very difficult position?

Nicholas quickly told Milton, "Quick, get the bodyguard to kick the door open. I'm afraid he'll do something reckless inside."

Milton immediately called the bodyguard over. The bodyguard was true to his role; after three powerful kicks, the door was down.

The room was pitch-black. The heavy curtains were drawn, and the atmosphere was eerie and still.

Nicholas rushed in and saw Sebastian curled up on the floor near the bed. This sight sent a jolt through him. He waved at Milton and the bodyguard, signaling them to leave.

Milton and the bodyguard quickly exited. They didn't dare stay inside.

Nicholas knelt beside Sebastian, his face full of sympathy.

"Sebastian, are you okay?"

Sebastian was hugging his arms, curled up in a corner near the bed. The wisdom and depth that once shone in his eyes were gone, replaced by an endless emptiness. It was as if his soul had been drained.

Later, a video from that period was uploaded online by someone with ill intentions. To this day, Nicholas couldn't bring himself to watch it again. The images were just too heartbreaking.

The young Sebastian was locked up with a dog that hadn't eaten for three days. They would fight over food, with the dog biting him and him biting the dog back. The scene was bloody and brutal.

Yet the kidnappers' laughter echoed in the background. It was as though they were enjoying his humiliation. The more miserable he was, the happier they were. They would laugh even louder.

Afterward, the young Sebastian became quiet and withdrawn, spending most of his time curled up in the corner of a bed as if such a small space could give him a sense of safety.

Just like now.

Nicholas knew that he wasn't well. He spoke to him for a long time, but Sebastian didn't respond.
