Roxanne was curious to see how much longer Sebastian could keep it up.

But before a breakup could even happen, he was already talking about getting engaged again?

Roxanne truly had no idea what was going on in Sebastian's head.

Elvira's voice held a hint of disappointment. "So, we won't be able to see each other for a long time?"

Roxanne rolled her eyes. "You've traveled abroad plenty of times. Just come find me, and we can hang out together."

"Oh, right!" Elvira instantly brightened. She traveled internationally all the time anyway. She would just visit Roxanne more often going forward.

They chatted for a while longer, then Roxanne hung up.

She had made up her mind. For the next few days, she would lie low and stop arousing Sebastian's suspicions. Once her paperwork for studying abroad came through, she would leave. She wasn't playing his game anymore.

Sebastian had just arrived at the office when Cayden came over with the documents he needed.

Last night at the hospital, Sebastian had already sent Cayden the video, asking him to investigate who the person in the video was—the one who had drugged him—and who had given the order.

Cayden worked fast. Based on the footage and the fact that Maison Nueve was a business owned by Hayes Group, identifying the server in the video should have been easy. But the result of the investigation left him stunned. It was utterly unexpected and borderline ridiculous.

Sebastian scanned the report closely, his eyes narrowing with each line. Then, he let out a sharp, disbelieving laugh. He was furious.

"A temp who was a terminal cancer patient and who died over two years ago? The manager who hired him also had cancer and has also died? There was a large transfer into his account from Miles?"

Sebastian flung the documents to the floor in fury. "This is what you found?"

Maison Nueve would never hire a temp casually. Employees there had to provide proof of education and health certificates.
