Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 565

Hattie stood firm, her tone playful, “Oh, don’t worry about it. You’ve earned every bit of it. I’m up already, so how about we make breakfast together? Josie’s always up early for her jog and likes to eat a bit sooner.”

Annika couldn’t argue anymore and joined Hattie in the kitchen.

Before long, the household staff were up, bustling around, each tending to their morning routines.

Josefina returned from her morning run, drawn to the dining table by the aroma wafting from a casserole dish. She couldn’t resist lifting the lid.

A delightful scent of creamy oatmeal hit her, making her mouth water.

Annika approached with a tray of freshly steamed buns, her smile warm and welcoming. “Ms. Josefina, I made your favorite buns. They’re best when they’re hot. Maybe skip the run today? The air looks pretty hazy, not great for jogging.”

Josefina’s eyes were glued to the soft buns, suddenly not caring about running.

“I’ll just wash up. Annika, your buns are the best I’ve ever had,” Josefina said, her excitement clear.

With her hands clean, Josefina settled in to savor the buns, while Annika continued to bring out a variety of light, vegetarian dishes.

Good food has a way of brightening anyone’s day.

As Josefina was eating, Oliver walked in.

“Josefina??”

“Oliver, it’s only 5:30. What brings you here so early?” she asked, surprised.

Oliver sat down, took half of the bun from Josefina’s hand, and bit into it. “Not bad at all.”

“Oliver, you still haven’t answered my question,” Josefina reminded him.

Without missing a beat, Oliver took a sip of her oatmeal and replied, “Your grandma invited me for breakfast. I didn’t know what time you guys eat, so I came early to be safe.”

Josefina was at a loss for words. Who eats breakfast at 5:30?

Oliver grabbed a spinach and egg bun, eating contentedly.

“I can’t believe this. 5:30, Oliver? Aren’t you tired?” Josefina asked, amazed.

After finishing his bun, Oliver watched as Annika approached with soy milk and cow’s milk, nearly spilling them in surprise at seeing him.
