Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 569

When Oliver got wind of the situation, he waved off the surveillance with a casual flick of his hand. “Don’t bother with them. If they want trouble, they’ll find it.”

He quickly sent a video message to Josefina. Just as he hit send, a knock echoed through his office.

“Come in,” Oliver called out, his voice firm.

Looking up, his face lit up at the sight of the visitor. With a burst of energy, he walked over and took the package from Josefina’s hands.

“Josie, did you come all this way just to bring me lunch?” he asked, warmth and surprise mingling in his voice.

Josefina took a seat, and Oliver poured her a glass of water, setting it in front of her.

“Don’t tell me I’m not welcome,” Josefina teased with a smile.

“Welcome? I’m thrilled you’re here. I look forward to your visits every day. Seeing you just makes my whole week,” Oliver replied, genuinely happy.

He knew she cared for him, and that made him truly content.

Unwrapping the food she brought, he laid it out on the table and poured a glass of mango juice for her.

They shared the meal together, a simple but cherished moment amidst their busy lives.

Meanwhile, just outside Oliver’s office, another figure appeared.

George was on duty that day. The rest of the staff had gone for lunch, but he stayed back, planning to eat later.

Spotting Dominic, George immediately stepped out, positioning himself as if to block the way.

“What’s the problem? Can’t I go in?” Dominic asked, a hint of irritation in his voice.

George nodded. “Mr. Oliver and Ms. Josefina are having lunch. It’s not a good time for visitors. If you need to speak with Mr. Oliver, please come back later.”

George met Dominic’s gaze with a mix of respect and resolve, unsure how formal to be.

Dominic glanced towards the office door but didn’t press the issue. Instead, he chose to leave.

Returning to his post, George sent Oliver a quick message.

Oliver’s brow furrowed as he read it, but his expression soon softened.

Josefina, ever observant, asked softly, “What’s going on?”
