Chapter 107 The Man From Last Night
The night passed.
Catherine slept absolutely soundly, so much so that she didn’t even notice when her phone rang a few times. It wasn’t until 3:00 pm that she opened her eyes blearily.
Catherine tried to shift, but her body ached all over. She snapped out of her drowsiness and sat right up into a sitting position. A tight soreness pulsed in her lower body.
Based on her past experiences in bed, she could tell that she slept with someone last night.
All color drained from her face.
She felt physically clean and fresh, which meant that someone had cleaned her up afterward. She noticed a set of clean clothing sitting next to her. After putting on the outfit, she picked up
her bag and left.
She lifted her hands over her throbbing head, trying to recall what had happened last night.
Catherine remembered still being conscious when she left the room, where she then bumped into a young man who offered her a drink. After that, she ran into Harry…
Could Harry have been the man from last night?
She had no clue because she practically blacked out after that. All she remembered were a few blurry snippets, ones that involved her clinging onto the man with unusual passion, as if she just couldn’t get enough, no matter what.
She patted her cheeks, forcing herself to calm down. No matter who that man was, she still had to head to the hospital to get some post–exposure prophylaxis and contraceptive pills for
health reasons.
Shortly after Catherine left, Harry’s car came to a stop at the entrance to the hotel. He stood at the door to the hotel room, holding a bag of takeout that he bought from the hotel.
After preparing himself mentally, he pushed the door open and entered the room.
He considered the fact that Catherine would blow up when she saw him after she woke up. S he thought of how to coax her before telling her that there was actually nothing going on
between him and Michelle.
Catherine was the one Harry had feelings for.
Nevertheless, once he entered the room, all he saw was a messy bed. No one else was in the
room.
“Catherine…” he called out.

However, all that responded to him was silence. His face fell.
He had to head in for work because he had a meeting today, but he figured that Catherine would probably stir right about the time when he was done with his meeting.
Harry didn’t think she would leave.
As he sat on the bed, he noticed that her warmth still lingered. That meant that she had only just left.
It was clear to Harry that Catherine did not want to see him. In that case, he decided not to bother her. Instead, he could find another suitable opportunity to see her sometime in the
future.
After Catherine left, she called Adam to tell him that she was fine. Then, she replied to Jeremy’s message before plopping herself down on the couch.
She was rather annoyed at herself for drinking so much and allowing so much to happen when it shouldn’t have. She cupped her cheeks, deciding that she wouldn’t drink so much next time.
Not long after, she heard her doorbell ring. She got up and opened the door, only to see Jeremy standing at the door.
She exclaimed in surprise, “What brings you here?”
