**Chapter 120**

Jayceon leaned back against the wall, his expression steady as he spoke, “A husband and wife are two halves of a whole. If you can persuade Arabella to abandon her thoughts of divorce, I will ensure her well-being without requiring any effort from you.”

Kayla, propped up on her elbows in bed, felt a surge of determination. “Even if we lose everything, we will make Arabella divorce you!” Her voice was firm, yet a hint of desperation lingered beneath the surface.

Jayceon, confronted by Kayla’s unwavering resolve, felt a familiar sense of inevitability wash over him.

He continued, “Mom, Dad, Leo is accusing Arabella of leaking the Melendez Corporation’s most sensitive confidential files to a rival company, all in an act of revenge for my infidelity. If she is found guilty, the consequences are dire—she could face between three to ten years in prison and hefty fines.”

The weight of his words settled heavily in the room. Jayceon added, “Ten years behind bars would devastate Arabella’s life, and it would have a ripple effect on Emmett’s education and future prospects.”

Emmett, unable to contain his emotions, shook off his father’s hand and stormed toward Jayceon, his voice laced with fury. “Don’t you dare try to intimidate me! If it comes down to that, I’ll just drop out of school!”

Jayceon instinctively reached out to comfort Emmett, placing a hand on his shoulder, but Emmett forcefully swatted it away, his anger palpable.

With a calm demeanor, Jayceon replied, “Emmett, you’re still young. One day, you’ll realize just how crucial your education is for your future.”

Roderick stepped forward, positioning himself protectively in front of his son, his expression darkening. “No matter the cost, we will not allow our daughter to end up in prison. We will find another way.”

Jayceon fell silent for a moment, contemplating the gravity of the situation.

Finally, he spoke again, “If Arabella agrees to return home, I can guarantee that she won’t face jail time. I will support her career without reservation. I can provide her with a life of prestige and luxury, ensuring she never has to worry about anything again. Isn’t that the future you envision for her?”

Kayla’s voice quivered as she interjected, “But that’s not what Arabella desires!”

Jayceon nodded slowly, acknowledging her concern.

He continued, “Mom, we are all adults here. It’s time we start weighing the pros and cons of this situation. My mother has always cherished Arabella, treating her as if she were her own daughter. With your love and support, I believe Arabella would find greater happiness by my side than in a prison cell.”

“The Melendez Corporation’s legal team operates swiftly. If you want to save Arabella, I need your answer soon.”

With that final statement, Jayceon turned on his heel and exited the hospital room, leaving a tense silence in his wake.

Once Jayceon was gone, Emmett’s fury morphed into anxiety. He turned to his parents, desperation creeping into his voice. “Dad, Mom, is there any other way to get my sister out of this mess?”

Roderick let out a heavy sigh, his shoulders slumping in defeat. “We’ve considered every possible option. If we hadn’t, your mother and I wouldn’t have sought his help.”

The hospital room fell into a heavy silence, the air thick with unspoken fears.

Roderick finally broke the stillness, turning to Kayla. “I just spoke with our lawyer. He’s already withdrawn from Arabella’s case. I doubt anyone in Zelmere would dare to challenge the Melendez family’s legal team.”
