**Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
By J.S. Caldwell

**Chapter 235**

Arabella sat on the edge of the bed, her posture tense, her heart heavy with the weight of their unresolved issues. The air was thick with unspoken words, crackling with a tension that seemed to electrify the space between her and Jayceon.

“Arabella, this is emotional abuse!” Jayceon’s voice cut through the silence, sharp and accusatory.

His words hit her like a sudden chill, causing her features to tighten in response.

Kneeling on the bed, she raised her gaze to meet his, her eyes aflame with a mix of hurt and defiance. “So you think my silence is emotional abuse? And what do you call your late-night escapades with Georgina? You left me here all alone, not even bothering to check on me when I fainted!” Her voice trembled with the weight of her accusation, the hurt spilling out like a dam breaking.

In that charged moment, they locked eyes, the silence between them heavy and oppressive, filled with a multitude of unspoken grievances.

Jayceon felt a wave of self-loathing crash over him; he wanted to scream at himself for the pain he had caused her. Deep down, he recognized that he was pushing her too hard, too fast.

He settled on the edge of the bed, taking her hand in his, a gesture meant to convey his seriousness. “I’m heading to Country M for a business trip tomorrow. I’ll be back in about half a month,” he declared, attempting to redirect the conversation away from their emotional storm.

Arabella was taken aback, her heart racing as she pulled her hand away, shaking off his touch like it was a physical weight. “You shouldn’t be telling me about your business trip,” she replied, her voice steady yet laced with frustration, a thin veneer over the chaos within her.

Unfazed by her rejection, Jayceon leaned closer, wrapping his arms around her with a force that felt both desperate and suffocating. “You’re my wife, Arabella. Who else would I share this with?” he murmured, his face buried in the crook of her neck, seeking solace in her warmth.

A wave of nausea washed over Arabella from the constriction of his embrace. She squirmed, desperate to escape. “A real man shares his love, Jayceon. If you have energy to spare, why don’t you go talk to your concubine, Georgina? You two can chat until the end of time for all I care. I’m exhausted and need to sleep.”

Wrapping herself in the blanket tightly, she added with a sarcastic lilt, “And please, remember to close the door on your way out.”

Jayceon’s face darkened, absorbing the sting of her words, his expression a tempest of emotions.

“Arabella,” he said, his tone grave, “I understand you’re disappointed, but you need to be cautious. Julian is a threat to both the Clemons and Melendez families. Don’t let yourself become a pawn in this game. Unless absolutely necessary, steer clear of him.”

Arabella’s dismissive attitude flared up again. “Julian is your uncle, not some stranger. What’s wrong with wanting to get closer to him?”

Jayceon’s brow furrowed, concern etching deeper lines on his face. “Julian has been abroad for years and has connections to the international underworld. I’m warning you for your own safety.”

Arabella shot back, her voice sharp and defiant, “Jayceon, if you keep pushing me, I might just find a way to become your aunt!”

His disbelief was palpable, his expression darkening further. “You dare?”

With a fierce stare, Arabella replied, “You can cheat, sleep with other women, and raise an illegitimate child. What’s stopping me from daring?”

The air between them crackled with animosity, their mutual resentment hanging like a storm cloud. Jayceon’s breath grew heavy, his chest rising and falling in a rhythm that matched the tempest within him.
