**Chapter 282**

Georgina stormed into the living room, her heart racing with a mix of adrenaline and fear. Before she could even take a breath to steady herself, Emmett, his face twisted with rage, lunged forward, seizing a vase from the table. “I’m going to fucking kill you!” he shouted, his voice echoing through the room like thunder.

Caught off guard by his explosive reaction, Georgina’s instincts kicked in, and she turned on her heel, ready to flee. “Arabella!” she yelled from the doorway, her voice tinged with desperation. “I’ll be waiting for you downstairs!”

As Georgina darted into the elevator, Arabella stood rooted in place, her gaze fixed on Emmett, who was still seething with anger.

“That woman is too arrogant,” he fumed, his fists clenched at his sides. “How dare she barge into our home like that!”

Kayla, sensing the tension, swiftly snatched the vase from Emmett’s grasp, her expression sharp with disapproval. “A woman like that has no morals,” she declared, her voice steady. “She’s capable of anything. Let’s just ignore her!”

Roderick, sitting silently on the sofa, felt a storm of emotions brewing inside him. His face darkened with anger, but he remained mute, choosing to sulk rather than engage in the chaos around him.

After a brief moment of contemplation, Arabella finally spoke up, her voice steady yet firm. “Mom, Dad, I’m going downstairs for a bit. I’ll be right back.”

With that, she retreated to her room, changing into a more comfortable outfit before grabbing her umbrella and stepping out into the night.

Her parents’ home had always been a sanctuary for her, a place where she could find solace amidst the turmoil of her life. The thought of Georgina disrupting their peace filled her with determination; she would not allow it.

The night air was cool, and a gentle drizzle began to fall as she made her way to the entrance of the residential complex.

Meanwhile, Georgina stood outside, drenched and shivering. She had left her umbrella behind at Arabella’s door in her haste to escape, and now she looked utterly defeated, the rain cascading down her face like tears.

As Arabella approached, sheltered beneath her umbrella, Georgina’s simmering rage ignited. “Arabella!” she screeched, her voice laced with venom. “You talk about wanting a divorce, but behind my back, you seduced Jay to come find you in Europe! You even slept together! You keep claiming you’re leaving the marriage without assets, yet you had the audacity to steal the birthday present Jay bought for my son!”

Arabella, unfazed, bent down and lowered her umbrella. With a swift motion, she strode up to Georgina, grabbing a handful of her hair with fierce determination.

“Slap!”
