**TITLE: Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
By J.S. Caldwell
**Chapter 337**
Kayla sprang to her feet, her heart brimming with warmth as she moved toward the cabinet. She retrieved a bowl and a pair of chopsticks, her thoughts swirling with concern for Blaire. “Blaire,” she called out, her voice filled with kindness, “you’re all alone here without family to care for you. It’s serendipitous that you’re living right next door. From now on, if you find it inconvenient to whip up a meal for yourself, just come over and share a meal with us.”
Emmett, ever the supportive brother, quickly pulled out a chair for Blaire, his enthusiasm palpable. “Mom’s right! The more, the merrier. Come on, Blaire, take a seat and join us!”
With a casual air, Blaire settled into the chair, a smile creeping across his face as he began to eat breakfast. Laughter and lively chatter filled the air, creating a warm atmosphere that enveloped the Palmer family.
As they enjoyed their meal, Emmett turned to Kayla, his brow furrowing slightly in thought. “Mom,” he began, his voice serious yet playful, “my SATs are just around the corner, a little over a week away. When my sister took her SATs, you wore that stunning Cheongsam to send her off. You have to wear it again for me on my exam day!”
Kayla chuckled, shaking her head with a smile that lit up her face. “Oh, Emmett, I was still young and sprightly when your sister took her SATs. I’ve grown older now, and I doubt it would look good on me anymore.”
Emmett, never one to back down from a challenge, shot back, “Then let Dad wear it instead!”
Roderick, caught off guard by his son’s suggestion, nearly dropped his bowl, his eyes wide with disbelief.
**Chapter 97**
Arabella, unable to contain herself, almost burst into laughter. “Forget about my dad! Blaire is tall, handsome, and has a flair for fashion. If we’re going to do this, let’s make Blaire wear the Cheongsam!”
With a Steamed Bun stuffed in his mouth and a cup of soy milk in hand, Blaire shot Arabella a fierce glare, his expression a mix of disbelief and amusement.
Emmett, wiping his mouth with a napkin, chimed in with a grin, “How about this, Sis? On the first day, Mom wears bright red for an Auspicious Red for a Good Start. On the second day, Blaire wears green for a Clear Path. And on the third day, you wear yellow for Passing Exams with Flying Colors.”
Arabella nodded earnestly, her mind racing with ideas. “That’s brilliant! Mom, you should pick out a few Cheongsams with high slits and those charming five frog buttons. Let Blaire choose one first!”
Blaire, feeling a surge of embarrassment, thought to himself that today was certainly not the right day to be mooching off a meal.
He grabbed Arabella’s arm, shaking it gently. “Ara, can I just be the driver instead?”
Arabella shook her head, a playful smile dancing on her lips. “Come on, show some of that ‘go to bat for a friend’ spirit! I believe in you.”
Blaire could only muster a silent response, his thoughts swirling as he considered the absurdity of the situation.
As Arabella patted Blaire on the shoulder comfortingly, she prepared herself to leave for work, her vibrant energy lingering in the air.
**Chapter 337**
The clock struck nine in Zachary’s dean’s office, a quiet serenity enveloping the room.
Zachary felt a wave of relief wash over him as he observed Arabella, her demeanor light and carefree. “Seeing you like this, I can finally breathe easy,” he remarked, his tone filled with genuine concern.
