Arabella forcefully pushed Jayceon’s hand away, her heart racing with a mix of frustration and disbelief. “Jayceon,” she demanded, her voice steady yet laced with urgency, “why are you so adamant about remarrying me?”

Jayceon met her gaze, sincerity radiating from his eyes. “Marriage is a lifelong vow,” he replied, his tone earnest. “We promised we’d be together for a lifetime!”

A wave of disdain washed over Arabella, her eyes narrowing as she shot back, “I bet you told Georgina the same thing, didn’t you? And her son, too?”

Jayceon shook his head, a hint of desperation creeping into his demeanor. “I did make a promise to Georgina, but it’s not what you think.” He took a deep breath, trying to convey the complexity of his feelings. “The way I feel about you is entirely different from how I feel about Georgina.
