Chapter 1320 -1320: What is Hidden in the Mountain Range_1

Ethan Smith couldn’t be bothered to explain anything to Virgil.

Meanwhile, Ava softly said, “These two places are full of dangers. It’s better if we stick together and look out for each other.”

Virgil sneered, “Look out for each other? What can he do to protect us? Miss Ava, do you really think I need his protection?”

Ethan glanced at him and sneered, “Fine, don’t worry. I promise I won’t lift a finger to help you.”

“Ha! I don’t need your help. Just make sure you don’t come begging me to save you when the time comes,” Virgil said coldly.

Ethan didn’t bother arguing with him anymore. *It was simply a meaningless waste of time.*

The next day.

When Ethan stepped outside, Virgil and Ava were already waiting at the door.

“Took you long enough. Even if you were racing to eat shit, it would’ve gone cold by now,” Virgil mocked.

Ethan ignored him and looked toward Ava instead. “Are we all set?” he asked.

Ava nodded slightly and said, “I brought a magical artifact from home, but with my current standing in the family, I couldn’t get my hands on anything top-tier.”

Ethan waved his hand dismissively. “No matter. When the time comes, we’ll play it by ear. If things get too dangerous, we’ll take the first opportunity to escape.”

“Understood,” Ava replied gently. “Let’s set off then.”

The location they had tentatively agreed upon was the mountain range behind Sunilope City.

There wasn’t a complete path leading from Sunilope City to the mountain range, so the three of them had to climb.

After spending half a day in arduous effort, they finally reached the top of the range.

The entire mountain range stretched for thousands of miles, vast and magnificent.

Gazing into the distance, it resembled the spine of a great dragon.

The mountaintop was rugged and uneven, covered with countless species of trees whose names no one could call to mind.

“What exactly is hidden here, and why are the people of Sunilope City so afraid of it?” Ethan scanned the mountain range, muttering under his breath.

Virgil, standing beside him, frowned and said, “I can’t sense any sort of energy flow.”

Immediately, Ethan activated the desolate divine eye to investigate.

But unfortunately, under the gaze of the desolate divine eye, he still couldn’t detect anything unusual.

“Whatever. Let’s move out,” Ethan said.

With that, he glanced at Virgil and added, “Virgil, take good care of your young lady.”

“Spare me your advice,” Virgil snorted coldly.

Ethan couldn’t be bothered to respond. He took a step forward, ready to venture into the mountain range.

But just then, a shadow appeared abruptly out of nowhere.

Looking up, they saw that the newcomer was none other than Roger Gibbs.
