My Assassin's Void Heart novel Chapter 9

In suspicion, Liam noticed something odd. He began to walk where Fae and Evalyn are. The footsteps getting louder, Fae and Evalyn were already planning on their plan b. Liam finally arrived and opened the door.

Just as he opened it, smoke bombs were in his line of sight. Fae and Evalyn took this chance and ran away. Liam still coughing, he backed away. Looking around, he knew the culprits escaped.

"Damn that was close!" Evalyn breathes a sigh of relief. "Evie turn around" Fae says in suspicion. "What is it?" Evalyn asks in confusion. Fae the took out a small tracker from Evalyn's hoodie. Fae then crushed the tracker immediately.

"Damn it! We underestimated that Liam Ghate!!" Evalyn curses. "Well the organization told us countless times not to underestimate our enemies" Fae says in her monotonous voice. "I know but..." Evalyn frowns. "Misses, we're here" the chauffeur says as the car stops.

The duo then gets out of the car, closing the door as they enter the mansion.

"Looks like this won't be easy" Evalyn frowns. "What's wrong?" Jax asks. "Liam Ghate almost had us caught" Fae answers. "By the way where's he? We'll be saying our report" Evalyn asks, looking around. "He's in his boss mode now. The organization's members reported that they've been attacked by Sweet Hell these past days" Jax exclaims.

"Hey Fae, how do you do this?" Evalyn asks, pointing at a certain page. They arrived at the company not long ago and focusing on their works. "You do this... Then this" Fae says as Evalyn nods. "Ok thanks" Evalyn thanks as she focuses back.

"The CEO is here!!!" an office worker shouts as everyone immediately stands up and goes to position. In confusion, Fae and Evalyn deliberately follows their actions. Bowing their heads, they greeted their boss.

"Good morning CEO Jason!!" the staffs greet in sync, Fae and Evalyn still following. Fae looked up and saw the bracelet on Jason's wrist. She looked down immediately. Jason then walked towards the elevator and went up his office.

The staffs then went back on their works. Sitting down, Fae looked at Evalyn. "Wrist" Fae said through sign language, Evalyn understanding it immediately as she nods in response.
