LILY’S POV♡
1 followed him, limping and feeling cold from our skin uncomfortably.
I let out a huff when I got tired of walking, my toe still hurt and I really wanted Asher to carry me.

“Let me think about it.” He pretended to think by tapping his index finger
“I thought we’re friends. Wow, you’re on a bad start at being a friend.” I scolded.
“You know, you can help a girl out here, my toe is killing me and I’m I was desperate at the moment.

eeth in annoyance. Is this how it’ll be to be his friend? Annoying
“If you’re not going to carry me, then I’ll just stay here.” I huffed before sitting on the ground and crossed my arms and pouted like a little kid. He walked past me and I refrained from throwing a rock at his head.
He turned around chuckling while shaking his head at me.
“You know, you’re really stubborn.” He said.
“Why, thank you.” I smiled sarcastically.
“There are snakes and bears here.” He revealed.
“Nice try, but that doesn’t scare me.” I said arrogantly but deep down I was about to shit my pants when I heard the word snake. I have seen an anaconda, and it doesn’t end well.
“Well, I’m leaving you to fend for yourself.” He started walking again, not glancing my way once.
“Wow, the bestest friend ever.” I snorted, trying not to care. Oh my god, please turn back!
“Ugh, come on.” He turned around, bending down a little for me to come on his back.
“Yes!” I rejoiced.
I got off the ground, limped to him and got on his back, holding him tightly.
We were ten minutes in our walk when we heard something shift in the bushes and I got paranoid. I started to panic when the sound got nearer. I gripped Asher tightly, closing my eyes while chanting a prayer in my head.
“Asher, we’re about to die.” I muttered, fear creeping in.
“Lily, you’re being dramatic. It’s not anything.” He reassured me.
“It could be a snake, rat, spider…” I rushed out, still panicking.
“Rat, spider? Wow, I’m shaking from fear.” He answered sarcastically.
We heard a little growl and Asher stopped in his tracks.
Chapter 253
“See, I told you there was something here with us, what if it’s Annabella?” I whispered sharply, looking around the scenery
“Lily, seriously? Annabelle? Babe. I don’t think Annabelle growls.” He chuckled.
“Yes she does. I saw it in the recent movie they released.” I responded, afraid that it actually was the evil doll,
“Whatever, it’s a movie, Lily. It’s not real.” He tried to ease my mind.
“That’s what you think, but there are some scary movies that are based on true stories, if you must know.” I claimed and gripped him tighter.
The growling stopped and out came a dog who looked like it was starving. Shit mother of Jesus please save us from this beast. It was growling viciously, gaining on us. Asher tensed up before holding on to me tightly.
When the vicious dog got closer, I closed my eyes and waited to be eaten. I was relieved when I heard it whimper and ran away. I opened my eyes looking for what saved us. It was Asher’s foot.
“What did you do to that poor dog?” I asked, confused.
“That poor dog was about to eat our ass for dinner, so I kicked it.” He shrugged nonchalantly.
“Would you stop pretending that you weren’t scared?” I said, annoyed.
