Jessica nodded in acknowledgment, and her gaze refocused on Michael.

Michael said, “In that case, I won’t take up your time any longer. Jason’s schedule will follow the original plan, according to the Wilder Group’s arrangements. Jessica, the next time we meet, there might be a bit

of a surprise.”

With that said, Michael left.

Shannon and Maggie came in and closed the door again.

Jessica’s tightly furrowed brows never relaxed. She clasped her hands together, pressing them against her forehead. Shannon walked over and asked how things had gone.

“Michael should have understood, but… he gave me a bad feeling, as if something–or someone–was waiting for me. He seems to have someone behind his back.”

“Should we arrange for an addition person to stay by Mr. Green’s side?” asked Shannon.

Jessica shook her head. “That won’t be necessary. The Summit Infirmary still has Ashley. One person is

enough.”

Did they really think Ashley was just a simple medical student?

“Have Jennifer track Michael’s location at all times. If he appears in an unfamiliar place, lock onto it immediately. I need to find out what Michael’s secret is.”
