At the gate of the mansion, standing behind James, Vivian was looking at Selina with her reddened eyes. Selina was captured. Vivian opened her mouth and tried to say something, but the words didn’t come out.
Selina was grabbed by a man in suit, her wrists tied together.
The man looked vicious with a knife in his hand.
“Miss, you’d better come with us.” The man cast her a cold glance, and smiled viciously.
James sneered, “How dare you be so provoking in my place. I assume you need some hard lessons.”
The smile on the man’s face froze. Then he looked at the bodyguards behind James, the he looked away with disdain.
He waved his hands. Soon a group of men come out from the vans behind him.
The ground was soon crowded by his men.
Vivian’s heart sank instantly.
The man sneered, “Well, James. Tell me, who is going to be beaten up now?”
“Nothing but a bunch of worms. I will show you the strength of our men.” James guffawed, then the several guards of his ran towards him.
The man didn’t expect they dared to fight back while the hostage was still in his hand.
He gritted his teeth and brought the knife closer to Selina with brutal force.
Vivian opened her eyes wide in terror.
“BANG!” Suddenly a blow came from the gun in James’s hands. The bullet bite the man’s wrist.
Immediately, the knife clattered on the ground.
And blood splashed.
“Selina!” Gagged, Selina was whimpering, tears were running down from her cheeks.
Vivian then ran towards Selina and hugged. She tried to take selina away from here.
The man grimaced when the bullet hit his wrist, but he still glared at them and tried to take her. But James kicked him over.
Then there was chaos.
Grabbing the opportunity, Vivian untied Selina.
Selina cried the moment Vivian took out the gag in her mouth.
“It’s alright. You’re safe now.” Vivian held her head in her arms. She knew she must be frightened.
Just as she was the last time.
Selina had never expected that she would be thrown into the trunk when she was just about to have her lunch in a restaurant, and be tied up and used to threaten Vivian in front of the mansion.
However, James was a capable man. Otherwise William would not assign him for the safety of the mansion.
Though they were outnumbered, they defeated all their foes.
James felt relieved.
He was also afraid that something would happen.
“This is the consequence of offending me!” He snapped as he looked at the whimpering men on the ground.
Accidentally, he met William’s eyes when he looked back. He shivered instantly.
“Wi... William...” James sounded guilty.
William’s hands were shaking, but his eyes still seemed calm. “What happened?” He asked in a low voice.
“Vivian... She was captured.” James almost cried.
William didn’t speak, nor made any other movements, but the coldness he suddenly gave off even made others feel like it was winter.
Grace grabbed his arms and said, “It should be just as what we had guessed. Angie and Vivian were captured by the same person. Since Alex was not sent by Alan, there can be only one possibility that the Daniel needs the girls to protect himself. So I assume Daniel won’t hurt them. Please be assured.”
James was confused, but he dared not speak at this moment. He just shot a baffled glance at Joe.
Joe shook his head and put his hand on William’s arms, trying to comfort him.
After quite a while, William spoke, “Let’s go!”
Hence, they were driving towards the mansion again according to the plan.
But now they were in a different mood.
William was leaning on the seat with his eyes closed, his face pale. Others exchanged a glance and didn’t dare to make any sound, in case their boss would be bothered.
What Grace said was right. If the man was sent by Daniel, then he would never hurt Vivian and Angie. But that didn’t mean they should not be worried.
Grace sounded rational when he was comforting William, but when he found Selina, who looked so miserable in the mansion, he was eager to go straight to the Shen Family and kill Daniel.
It was William who stopped him!
