Chapter 75
Adrian’s POV
“Skye,” 1 berated, immediately removing my initial jacket in over her. What happened? How did you escape)–
Her body trembled beneath my tech as I gently wipped the jacket around her naked form. The dim light filtering themagh bruises and fecerations soveting her pale skin–evidence of torment that made my blood boil. My will surged forward, demarid been done to her.
“Adrian,” she whispered, her voice harely audible. Her fingers weakly clutched at my shirt, eyes undressed yet desperate. “Madu
have her you have
I pulled her closer, cradling her head against my chest, “Where is Nadia is she still in the compound?”
Skye nodded weakly, her silver hair matted with dirt and dried blood. “Hospital…” Her breathing became increasingly labored as her eyes fluttered, consciousness slipping away,
“Skye” I called, patting her cheek gently. “Stay with us.”
Skye’s eyes fluttered, consciousness slipping away. “Quick… rescue Nadia… she’s running out of time…” Her body went limp in my arms as she lost her battle
with exhaustion.
“Skye!” I called, patting her cheek gently. “Stay with us.”
But she had already succumbed to unconsciousness, her breathing shallow but steady. I pressed my fingers to her neck, relieved to find a pulse, weak but persistent
“What do we do, Alpha?” one of the warriors asked, his eyes darting between Skye’s unconscious form and the tunnel ahead.
The tactical part of my brain ran through our options.
“Ryder,” I decided, my voice low but firm. Take Skye back to the vehicles. Get her to Danishorn as quickly as possible. She needs medical attention immediately.”
kyder’s face contorted with conflict. “But Nadia—”
“That’s an order,” I cut him off. “Skye’s condition is critical. She won survive much longer without proper care.”
After a moment’s hesitation, Ryder nodded, carefully gathering Skye’s limp form into his arms. Her head lolled against his shoulder, her har cascading over his arm like liquid moonlight,
“The rest of us will continue searching for Nadia,” I continued, turning to the remaining warriors. “We’ll cover the perimeter, see if we can loca ch building they’re holding her in
“And if we can’t find her?” one of them asked.
Then we withdraw and regroup.” I replied grimly. “We can’t help Nadia if we’re captured or killed. Better to retreat and retum with a new strategy.”
As Rydes disappeared back down the tunnel with Skye, I felt a hollow ache in my chest. Every instinct screamed at me to follow, to ensure her safety personally. But I was Alpha first, with responsibilities that transcended personal desires. Nadia had served me loyally since childhood. I couldn’t abandon
her.
We managed to infiltrate the hospital building, moving silently through dimly lit corridors and ducking into empty rooms whenever guards passed. Each patient room we checked yielded nothing-
-no sign of Nadia, no indication she had ever been there.
‘Alpha,” one of the waniors whispered after we’d searched the entire facility/She’s not here. They must have moved her somewhere else.

“We couldn’t reach her,” I admitted the words bitter on my tongue. “Kane had the entire compound on high alert. It was a trap.”
Garrett’s eyes widened, disbelief and anger warring in his expression. “You left her there? How could you?” His voice rose, drawing the attention of nearly pack members, “You rescue your precious Skye but leave Nadia behind?”
“And you just gave
gave up? Garrett challenged, stepping closer. The mighty Alpha Adrian, tuming tail at the first sign of danger? Nadia would never have abandoned you!”
