Bound To My Mafia Stepuncles novel Chapter 138

Chapter 138

Enro’s POV

The van sped down the rond, but all I could hear was the sound of my heart. Loud. Angry, Loud enough to drown everything else,

Aria was in there.

I gripped the wheel tighter, my knuckles white. Matteo was beside me, gun ready. Dante rode in the back, loading another magazine, his jaw clenched so tight it looked like it might break.

We had followed the signal for ten minutes nowten minutes too long. Every second felt like a punch to the chest.

The moment we stepped into the house and found her gone, the air changedlike something sacred had been torn away. Her scent stil! lingered faintly in the hallway, but there was no trace of her warmth, no soft hum of her laugh, no shoes by the door. Just silence. Cold, echoing silence. My heart sank like a stone. Then I saw the overturned lamp, the thin smear of bloodnear the wall, and I knewsomeone had taken het. Rage came next. Blinding. Brutal. I didn’t speak. I didn’t need to. Matteo was already on the phone with our tech guy, Dante moving fast toward the security room. I barked orders like a man possessedpull every camera feed, track her phone, crosscheck every enemy we’ve made in the last six months. I didn’t care who we had to go through, I just knew we had to find her. Now. My thoughts racedwhat if she was scared? What if they hurt her? No. I couldn’t allow that. I wouldn’t. I grabbed the nearest gun, loaded it with shaking hands, and made a silent promise: whoever touched her would beg for death by the time I was done with them.

It started with a gut feeling. The second we walked through the door and didn’t hear her voice or see her curled up on the couch like she usually was, something inside me twisted. I called out for her oncetwice. No answer. Matteo was the first to find her phone on the kitchen counter, screen cracked, still unlocked. She never left it. Ever. Dante noticed the door slightly ajar, the lock snapped clean like it was nothing. That’s when my chest went tight. My vision tunneled. I couldn’t think. Couldn’t breathe. They took her, I muttered, and the room froze. Not just the houseus. For a second, we stood still, like statues, before something violent surged through all of us. Matteo was already calling the tech team, voice sharp. Dante sprinted upstairs to check the cameras. I smashed my fist into the wall so hard the drywall cracked. I needed to hit somethinganything. Aria was gone, and I had no idea if she was hurt or crying or terrified. But I knew one thing for sure: she wouldn’t be alone for long. Not if I had to burn this entire fucking city to the ground to find her. My girl was missing, and I was ready to go to war.

Dante’s voice echoed from upstairs. We got something!I bolted up the stairs with Matteo right behind me. The grainy footage from our perimeter cam showed a black van pulling up just minutes after we left. Two men, masks on, moved like they knew exactly where they were going. One disabled the security system. The other slipped inside. Thirtyseven seconds. That’s all it took. My stomach turned. Aria didn’t even have time to scream. We’ve got a partial plate,Dante said, fingers flying across the keyboard. Matteo was already patching into the traffic cams across the area, tracing the van’s route street by street. I called Ghostour best tracker, someone we only used when shit got real. I need eyes everywhere,I snapped into the phone. Pull every satellite, every feed, every whisper. Someone took her, and I want their name and location ten minutes ago.My blood boiled. I couldn’t sit still. Every second wasted was another second Aria was alone. Maybe scared. Maybe hurt. That thought nearly broke me. But I wouldn’t let fear win. I’d track the bastards down. And when I found themI’d make sure they regretted ever breathing her name.

Faster,I growled.

Matteo didn’t answer. He didn’t need to. The silence said everything. We were going to tear that van apart. No mercy. No rules. Not when it came to her.

She was ours.

The road stretched ahead, and there it was. A white van, beatup and swerving, like they knew we were coming.

They know,Dante said from behind me. They’re speeding up.

I don’t care,I said. We stop them. No matter what.

Matteo rolled down his window and aimed. A shot cracked through the air. The van jerked slightly, tires screeching.

That was our warning.

Gunfire echoed behind me. I didn’t look back. Matteo would cover me. I trusted him with my life.

I reached the van’s side. The metal was dented, covered in bullet holes. Through one of them, I thought I saw movement.
