My Great Escape Led Me to You (Emily Blair) novel Chapter 564

Andrew Lane’s voice dropped, suddenly cold and sharp. “Emily Blair.”

“What do you think you’re doing?”

Amid the chaos, Tristan Davis’s voice cut through, growing clearer with every furious step. “Andrew Lane, get your hands off her!”

Emily Blair looked up just in time to see Tristan’s face, darker and more thunderous than she’d ever seen. The sight made her heart skip, a tremor of fear running through her.

Tristan’s fist shot out, his eyes cold and dangerous, aiming a punch straight at Andrew Lane’s face.

Andrew’s brow twitched. He let go of Emily’s wrist just in time to dodge the blow.

Missing his target, Tristan immediately pulled Emily into his arms, his hand steadying her by the shoulder.

“Emily, are you alright?”

His grip was warm but firm, grounding her. Emily’s head was spinning—already dizzy from the argument with Andrew, and now, with Tristan’s arrival, she felt the tension drain out of her, leaving her even more faint.

She bowed her head, gasping for breath. “Just get me to a hospital. Please.”

Tristan’s voice turned urgent, “What’s wrong?”

Emily stumbled where she stood, barely able to keep her balance. “Someone drugged me,” she managed, her voice weak. “I feel terrible. Just take me to the hospital, now.”

Tristan’s expression hardened, his eyes scanning the group. “Who did this to you?”

His gaze lingered on Isabella Austin for a split second. Isabella felt her throat tighten, almost as if she couldn’t breathe. Her body tensed under his scrutiny.

Emily reached out, clutching Tristan’s arm. “Forget it for now. Just get me out of here.”

Tristan’s eyes flickered to Cynthia Rivera, but when Emily spoke, he nodded. “Okay. I’ve got you.”

Without another word, he bent down and swept Emily up in his arms.
