My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 11

*My dear, if he can't take care of you… then you can't blame me for what comes next.* Jensen thought.

The car stopped in front of an unfamiliar apartment building.

Rebekah came to, her mind still hazy. "Where are we?" she managed.

"I wasn't sure where you wanted to go, but I figured you might need a place to stay. A friend of mine has been trying to rent out this apartment for ages," he said, his tone casual but with a hint of persuasion. "So, want to take a look?"

The apartment was fully furnished and had excellent lighting.

Rebekah hesitated at the door, silent. An apartment like this was far beyond her means. It was laughable. She had worked herself to the bone for the Forrester family, running herself ragged for their company, even wining and dining clients on their behalf. In the end, all the money had gone into Benjamin's pocket. For years, she had used a supplementary card linked to his account. And with a single word, he had cut her off. Meanwhile, he regularly transferred large sums of money to Candice, claiming it was his way of "looking after his sister-in-law."

A bitter smile touched her lips. She shook her head and finally declined. "Thank you for the offer, but I…"

As if sensing her predicament, Jensen smoothly interrupted. "If you're worried about the rent, you can stay here for a few days. We can sort out the rent later."

His tone was gentle, but held that same undercurrent of authority.

Rebekah was still hesitant.

Jensen simply pressed the keys into her hand. "The rent here is very cheap."

He named a figure so low it took her breath away. At that price, he was practically giving it to her.

Rebekah watched him go, a strange feeling stirring within her. For some reason, Jensen seemed a little too eager to help her with the divorce. But he didn't know Benjamin. He was just an ordinary person who had no connection to her husband…

She pushed the thought aside. Looking around the apartment, a new sense of resolve hardened her expression.

No matter what, she was getting that divorce.

Outside, the moment the door closed, the smile vanished from Jensen's face, replaced by an intimidating intensity. A lock of his silver hair fell across his brow, adding to his dangerous allure. He toyed with the ring on his finger, his voice a possessive murmur. "My dear, this time, I'm never letting you go."

*If it weren't for that accident all those years ago, you would have been mine from the start.*

*As for that Benjamin… he will pay for what he's done.*
