My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 127

Rebekah met Violet's gaze. The woman, in her forties, was impeccably preserved. A tight-fitting green gown accentuated her regal bearing.

"Thank you for the compliment," Rebekah replied flatly.

Violet's face hardened. What was this? Rebekah seemed like a completely different person. The last time she'd been to their home, she was a meek little thing who let everyone walk all over her. Now she had the nerve to talk back?

Rebekah had no desire to engage with them further. After a polite nod, she found a sofa in a quiet corner and sat down.

"That's Benjamin's wife. Her child is already so old, yet she still keeps a toy boy. Absolutely shameless."

"It's not just that. She uses the Forrester family's influence to bully people."

"I heard about the hit-and-run. She even drove the victim's family out of the Capital. What a ruthless woman."

"Look at that seductive face. She's a viper. The Forrester family must have had terrible luck to marry someone like her."

The whispers grew louder. Rebekah looked up to see a familiar face approaching.

"Rebekah, you have the nerve to show up here?" Sienna and Candice walked over, arm in arm.

Candice's eyes were fixed on Rebekah, a flicker of jealousy in their depths. How could Rebekah, a mother of a six-year-old, look like a young girl after just a little primping? Getting all dressed up like this after marriage, trying to steal the spotlight. She was shameless!

"If you two have the nerve to be at a Forrester family dinner, why shouldn't I?" Rebekah countered.

"You're sleeping with other men and you still dare to call yourself a Forrester?" Sienna, always hot-headed, didn't care about the setting. She flung the contents of her wine glass straight at Rebekah's face.

"Much better, though I still can't dance."

"That's alright. Take your time to heal. There will be other competitions." After comforting Candice, Justin turned to Rebekah. "Sister-in-law, your dress is wet. Let me show you to a room so you can change."

Rebekah shook her head. "No, thank you. I was just about to leave anyway."

As she stood up to go, Justin grabbed her wrist. He leaned in, his eyes dark and his smile cold. "Leaving so soon? Are you trying to disrespect our family?"

Rebekah knew what was coming. He was going to punish her on Candice's behalf again. She gritted her teeth, trying to pull her arm back, but his grip was like iron.

Suddenly, a man's voice cut in from the side. "Justin, let her go."
