My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 13

Rebekah stared, taken aback. "Can I help you with something?"

Jensen placed two large bags on the table, a playful smile on his lips. "Just a little housewarming gift from your new neighbor."

"Neighbor?" Rebekah asked softly.

As he began to unpack groceries and place them in the fridge, Jensen replied, "This client in the city is proving to be a tough nut to crack. I ended up renting my friend's other apartment, the one right next door."

A strange feeling washed over her, but she didn't say anything.

She watched as he moved around the kitchen with practiced ease, a complex mix of emotions stirring within her.

At the Forrester mansion, Benjamin never did any housework. Once, she had asked him to help her sweep the floor, and his face had immediately turned to stone.

Now she realized it wasn't that he didn't know how. He just believed it was her duty.

Jensen moved into the kitchen and started cooking. Rebekah watched him, lost in thought.

He had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, and the apron tied behind his back only accentuated his lean frame. With a body better than a model's and an air of natural elegance, he could easily pass for a nobleman.

Benjamin never cooked. He never even set foot in the kitchen. He used to say that a gentleman's place was not in the kitchen. But later, she had seen him with her own eyes, cooking noodles for Candice.

Realizing she was thinking about Benjamin again, Rebekah let out a bitter laugh. After all, they had been married for so many years.

A bowl of noodles was placed in front of her, pulling her out of her thoughts. She looked up into Jensen's charming eyes.

His lips curved into a playful smile. "What are you thinking about? Try my cooking."
