My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 151

"The national design competition got postponed by two months, so you can relax. You've got plenty of time to get your studio up and running." Patricia said.

Rebekah looked up, surprised by the news.

"Why was it postponed?" she asked.

"Something about a new policy, I think. My dad just mentioned it to me."

A wave of pure joy washed over Rebekah. She had been terrified she wouldn't have enough time, but now, everything had changed.

"I've decided not to set up my studio in The Capital, though. I'll be going home in about a month."

"Home? I thought your home was here in The Capital." Patricia looked at her, confused.

Rebekah shook her head. "My real family is in Southborough. In a little over a month, once I've divorced my husband, I'm leaving this place for good."

The finality in her voice made Patricia frown.

"Well, then I'll just have to come visit you in Southborough."

"Deal."

As they spoke, the door to the luxury boutique beside them swung open, and Benjamin's deep voice cut through the air.

"You're going to Southborough?"

The sudden sound made Rebekah jump. She looked up to see Benjamin and Candice Fletcher standing in the doorway.

Candice was a vision in a high-end silk slip dress, her long legs seeming to glow. She smiled as she clung possessively to Benjamin's arm. In his other hand, Benjamin held a shopping bag, letting Candice hold on without protest.

His gaze followed Rebekah's down to where Candice's hand was wrapped around his arm, and he cleared his throat, a flicker of discomfort in his eyes.

"You didn't answer my question. What are you going to Southborough for?"

"You must have misheard. We weren't talking about Southborough," Rebekah said, her tone cold.

"And when we order, you can just get something for me. I'm going to run to the restroom, but you know what I like." Candice added.

"Alright."

Rebekah and Patricia watched the intimate exchange, thinking that anyone who didn't know better would assume they were the married couple.

Rebekah pushed down the dull ache in her chest, forcing herself to endure it. This was just a phase she had to get through. Once she was completely free of Benjamin, time would heal the rest.

Patricia leaned in close, whispering in Rebekah's ear. "If I remember correctly, that's Benjamin Forrester, the CEO of the Forrester Group. Your husband, right?"

Rebekah hesitated for a second before nodding.

"And the one calling you 'sister' is… your sister?"

Another nod.

Patricia gave her a sympathetic look. "Poor Rebekah. You've really had a rough go of it, haven't you?" She patted Rebekah's shoulder and gave her a sly grin. "Looks like it's my turn to help you win a round."
