My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 80

The sight of Benjamin brought back the terrifying image of him ordering the maids to lock her away. Her face went pale with fear, and she backed away from him, her voice trembling. "What do you want?"

Seeing her like this, Benjamin felt a pang of guilt. He had really scared her. He softened his tone. "I was wrong this afternoon. I'll never lock you in the attic again."

Rebekah didn't believe him. "Get out."

He took a step closer. "I'm not divorcing you, and you're not leaving this family. I'll forget about what happened with that pretty boy. You'll still be Mrs. Forrester. And think about it—with your injuries, where else would you go?"

Rebekah let out a cold laugh. "You know perfectly well who's responsible for my injuries."

Benjamin froze, a flicker of panic in his eyes. Did she know? "What are you talking about?"

"Benjamin, if you want to make this easy, let's just go file for divorce. I don't want any of your money. You can have Shawn. I just want out. Then you and Candice can do whatever you want."

His panic turned to anger. He had been deceiving her for so long; there was no way she could have suddenly learned the truth. This was just jealousy.

"Rebekah, how many times do I have to tell you? Candice and I are just friends. Why can't you let it go? She's been faithful to her late husband's memory all this time. Do you really think she's like you, running around with other men?"

So that's what he thought of her.

"Say what you will. I am divorcing you."
