There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone. Then, Kevin asked, "what's wrong with him?"

His voice was void of indifference.

"My father may be injured and he is in ICU now. I want to see him, but I can't get in!" Subconsciously, Lily chose to believe what the phone call said.

Kevin's heart ached when he heard Lily's helplessness over the phone.

Her rationality vanished little by little after several failures.

"Okay, okay. Don't cry. I'll come to you." As Kevin comforted the sobbing little woman, he asked his men to drive him to the prison.

After hanging up the phone, Lily heaved a sigh of relief as if she finally found a person to rely on. Slowly, she struggling to get up again and walked back to her car and sat down.

But no matter what, she still couldn't settle down. Even if she knew that the person who could help her was on the way, her tense heart was still hanging.

Once she thought of her father's life in danger, she felt her feeling was possible to get rid of her control again.

"Father will be fine. He will be fine..." She murmured.

Lily felt a dull pain in her lower abdomen, and she touched it subconsciously.

She felt guilty about the baby. Other pregnant women would have a good rest. But she was always on her way with trepidation. It was bad for the baby's health.

Thinking of this, she forced herself to calm down. She stared out of the window, lost in thought, waiting for Kevin.

At the same time, Kevin hung up the phone and looked very calm. In the eyes of others, he might be cold.

However, all people in the car could feel that a pair of cold and emotionless eyes were staring at them, like a sharp knife on a neck, which made people feel panic from the bottom of their hearts.

Kevin was so quiet that he looked like a volcano which would erupt at any time. The atmosphere around him had reached its climax and pressed on everyone in the car, barely can breathe.

Both the assistant and the driver were carefully trying to hide themselves.

The dropping temperature in the car indicated the man's anger. "Adjust the surveillance video. I want to know what happened to Haber in the prison. I want to know everything."

A cold voice came from the car.

"Yes Yes, Mr. Qin. " The assistant answered timidly, fearing that he would displease this man.

"Who dare to bully my woman, I'm afraid he will be tired of living." A cold light flashed through Kevin's eyes.

'Who on earth harmed Haber and why did he get hurt?' He hit the seat of the car with his index finger as he thought.

Her assistant took out the phone quickly and dialed a number. The sound of conversation was so strange in the quiet car.

"Mr. Qin, they said you could get in, but the surveillance data can't be checked unless you are present." The assistant replied in a low voice.

"Really? Interesting. " Kevin sneered.

For so many years, few people asked him to do it in person. Not to mention a small palce like prison.

As for these powerful people who related this. Several names flashed through his mind. Finally, he kept silent and seemed not to care about it at all.

Lily walked swiftly in the dark passage. The light of the wall lamp was flickering. It was frightening.

What happened to her father in this horrible place?

She bit her lip and more worried about Haber. She took courage and walked faster.

The more she walked, the more anxious she became. She didn't even have time to rest then continued moving.

Her feet were numb and tired from the friction. Finally, she couldn't help muttering, "why haven't we arrived yet?"

At this moment, a warm hand covered her sweaty hand, pulled her back, and went in another direction.

'Isn't that way indicated on the sign?' she wondered?

"It was quicker this way." Kevin explained in a low and deep voice.

Lily tried to calm down. And then she walked quickly following Kevin. As expected, it was much faster this way.

Finally, they stopped in front of an old ward.

With the flickering light, Lily turned to look at Kevin, uneasy.

She pushed the door open, only to find her father lying in bed powerlessly.

There were several tubes of different sizes were inserted to Haber's heart, and there was a big wound on the head. Although it was bandaged with gauze, there were still dark red bloodstains looming. There were a few bruises on the arm, and the blood had been frozen for too long.

All of these stimulated the nerves of Lily. She couldn't help but sob.
