A Forced Contract Marriage with the Devil novel Chapter 161

Chapter 161

ALESSANDRO’S POV

Alessandro, he isn’t here! I have checked the entire building myself four fucking times, our men are all over the place!Antonio yelled over the phone, He isn’t here!Antonio’s voice cracked through the phone, sharp with panic.

I got off my seat, Well, fucking check the building again! How could you let this happen, Antonio? If something happened to him, You are a dead man, you’re a fucking dead man!

I ended the call without giving him a chance to respond.

My pulse thundered as I called his cell phone instead. It rang and rang and rang but he didn’t fucking pick up. When the call disconnected, I immediately called Vladimir. My hands were trembling, the phone slick in my grip.

Agitation rolled off me, I needed a fucking drink. I needed something to ground me. But more than anything, I needed my husband.

Vladimir?his cold voice came through the phone.

I want you to track my husband’s phone, NOW!

Give me ten minutes.

Hanging up, I I stormed out of my office, my fists clenched so tightly I could feel my nails digging into my palms. My mind spiraled with dark thoughts, worstcase scenarios tearing through my head like wildfire. Had someone gotten to him? Had they touched him taken him? Again?

No.

If someone fucking kidnapped him again, I swear to God, I’ll burn all of fucking New York City to the ground. Every inch of it. Every fucking alley, every ratinfested corner, every goddamned breathing body until I get him back.

This can’t be happening.

How could I let this happen?

I had promised him. I promised I wouldn’t let this happen again.

And I meant it.

Even though I’d broken him yesterday, shattered his world with the truth he never saw coming, I never stopped needing him. Wanting him. Despite all the pain I caused, I still wanted him to be mine. Still wanted to apologize, to fall to my knees if I had to, just to have another chance to make it right.

But now?

Now he was gone.

I went down the elevator and it annoyed me how fucking slow it was going down. The second the door opened, I went out of the building and dashed towards my car. I yanked the door open with a force that nearly ripped it off the hinges. Slamming it shut, I jammed the key into the ignition and floored the accelerator.

The tires screamed against the pavement as I tore into the street.

I didn’t give a fuck about red lights, stop signs, traffic. I didn’t care if I crashed this goddamn car into a wall. The only thing that mattered was getting to Nikolai’s studio. If he was there. If he was still safe.

Chapter 161

My hands gripped the wheel so tightly my knuckles turned white. My vision blurred at the edges, fury bubbling in my veins like lava.

If anyone had touched him, if anyone had laid a single hand on him they better be ready to die screaming

I’d make them beg for death and still deny them the mercy.

Because Nikolai was mine. And I would gut the world before letting anyone take him from me again.

Restlessness and suspicion gnawed at my chest. The possibility that it could be my parents fucked with my mind. I surprised myself when the thought of killing my own parents crossed my mind if they had hurt him. Call me crazy but when it comes to Nikolai, I was ready to so anything.

I dialed one of my close men’s number and he picked up after a single ring, Don Alessandro?

Get to my father’s place, see how is he doing, and ask him if he had something to do with Nikolai’s disappearance.

On it.

I left the car in the middle of the road with its engine still running. I saw Antonio digging through Nikolai’s bag. I strode to him and he looked up at me pulling something out of his bag.

What is it?!

Antonio frowned, It’s a burner phone, Alessandro.

I snatched it out of his hand and checked it. Burner phone? Why the fuck would Nikolai have a burner phone? How the fuck would he get it?

Do you think it belongs to whoever took him?I asked, looking through his bag to find something useful, something I could use that could lead me to the man who took him.

I think it does, I have sent one of our men to go look at this morning’s security footage.

Nikolai has a co worker, Shan, or something fucking like that. Have you seen that girl? Have you asked her anything about Nikolai?

I had no idea what she looked like. I didn’t even know anything about it. Whoever she is, she must have left the studio hours ago.

Fuck!

Don Alessandro,a man came running towards us, They are asking for you in the security room.

I followed them to the security room of the studio, Steven was already there. He paled as he saw me, I have no idea how something like that can happen in my studio. I’m ready to do whatever you ask of me, Alessandro.

The security guy pointed their finger at the screen, This is your husband entering the studio this morning, his finger followed Nikolai as he almost ran through the hallway. He opened up a door and went inside.

Where did he go?
