After Claudia left the dining room, Sewell snapped angrily, "She comes back with that long face. She's getting more and more disrespectful!"

Wendy looked at her son. "York, tell me the truth. What is really going on between you and Claudia?"

York stood up, his expression as calm as ever. "Dad, Mom, don't worry. We're fine."

Old Mr. Ferguson snorted but said nothing.

York hesitated for a moment, then turned and left the dining room.

Once he was gone, Darleen finally dared to speak. "Grandpa, Mom, Dad, my brother offered food to Claudia, but she didn't touch a single bite."

Darleen added, "I counted. My brother drank seven glasses of wine and didn't eat anything either."

Old Mr. Ferguson rose, and the butler quickly came to support him.

When Claudia came out of the restroom, she saw everyone gathered in the living room.

She hesitated, then walked over to Old Mr. Ferguson. "Grandpa, Mom, Dad, there's something I need to say to you all."

York's sharp gaze fell on Claudia's face. He walked over and grabbed her wrist. "Grandpa, Mom, Dad, Claudia and I have something to attend to. We're leaving now."

Claudia tried to wrench her hand free.

Remembering what had happened to Eddy, York was afraid of hurting her and immediately let go.

Claudia addressed Old Mr. Ferguson directly. "Grandpa, I've hired a lawyer. I'm preparing to file for divorce."

Her words stunned everyone in the room.

Sewell glared at his son, then turned on Claudia. "When the Watkins family went bankrupt, where would you be today if it weren't for York? If you want a divorce, you can leave with nothing. Don't even think about taking a single penny from the Ferguson family!"
