Claudia's voice was slurred. "If I wasn't worried you were dirty, I'd pay for a night with you, just to see what you're like."
York's face was grim. With a single movement, he flipped her over, pinning her beneath him and kissing her fiercely.
He wanted her. He had always wanted her. He wanted her like crazy.
On the messy bed, Claudia struggled weakly as York kissed her until she was breathless.
He buried his head in the crook of her neck, his breathing heavy and ragged. "If you weren't still recovering, I'd make it so you couldn't get out of bed for three days."
York rolled off the bed, carefully removed Claudia's jacket and shoes, and tucked her under the covers.
He sat on the edge of the bed, staring at her sleeping, drunken face. He couldn't resist leaning down to kiss her again, and again.
When York returned to his own room, Ann was already waiting by the door.
His eyes scanned her semi-sheer nightgown, and he couldn't help but frown.
Ann approached him cautiously, lifting her arm slightly so the strap of her nightgown slipped off her shoulder.
Her voice was soft and seductive. "York, I've been waiting for you for a long time. Can I come into your room for a bit? There's something I want to talk to you about in private."
Her intentions were so obvious, there was no way York could miss them.
"I have an urgent matter to deal with back home," York said. "Whatever it is, we can talk about it tomorrow."
Ann looked up, and her eyes fell on the distinct scratch marks on York's neck. She clenched her fists, overcome with jealousy.
Standing at the door of York's suite, Ann felt a wave of panic and helplessness.
York had just been in that bitch Claudia's room.
The lipstick on his lips, the scratches on his neck—they were all blatant proof of what had just happened between them.
Even though their relationship was so strained, they still had a physical relationship.
But ever since she had returned, especially in the last few days, despite all her hints, York remained unmoved.
