After Noelle responded, the parent looked awkward and quickly apologized, "Sorry, miss. Um... Do you need any help? I noticed you don't have much with you."
"No, thank you."
A short-haired woman tugged at her mother's hand. "Mom, I told you not to ask too many questions."
Looking a little embarrassed, she turned to Noelle and said, "Hi, I'm Grace Campbell. Don't mind what my mom said."
"It's fine."
Noelle had already decided not to mention her family background and would tell others that her parents had passed away.
Another woman came over and introduced herself. "I'm Jessica Wade, the only child in my family. I'm used to living alone, so I hope you won't disturb me too much."
Noelle exchanged a glance with Grace. They both silently agreed that Jessica would likely be hard to get along with.
Four people were supposed to be in the dorm, but the last roommate hadn't shown up yet. No one knew what their situation was.
That evening, Morgan asked everyone to meet in the classroom. Noelle and her new roommates headed to the large classroom. The campus was crowded with students.
Suddenly, there was a stir as a group of students in blue uniforms appeared, walking with the air of heirs and heiresses.
Grace asked in surprise, "Who are they?"
Jessica, who was looking proud, replied, "Don't you know? They're all students from the Yole University business school.
"They're all heirs and heiresses! And they all have impressive backgrounds—they're not people we can mess with!"
Noelle spotted Xenia among them and said coolly, "They're just here to get a degree from Yole University."
Grace quickly turned to Noelle. "Someone's asking for your contact info in the group."
Jessica, who was a little bitter, added, "Noelle, don't pay attention to these people. Don't give them your contact info."
Noelle glanced at the chat and smiled faintly, not taking it to heart.
Her thoughts then drifted to Cedric. Since he already had someone he was pursuing, maybe it was time for her to start a new chapter in her life. The thought made her feel a bit down.
After the meeting ended, everyone started heading out, but the crowd suddenly parted at the staircase as the group of heirs and heiresses descended from the upper floors.
Noelle and the others stopped to make way. The group walked down with an arrogant air as if they didn't care about anyone else.
When Xenia saw Noelle, a gleam of excitement flashed in her eyes. She whispered to Samantha, "Samantha, look over there!"
