No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 323

Noelle's expression remained calm, but it made Xenia break into a cold sweat.

Something didn't feel right. After all, Noelle had never been so obedient before. She must have something up her sleeve.

Donovan, however, seemed satisfied. "It's good that you're finally waking up. Don't think you're invincible just because you've won once. To make it in Yasnia, you must still rely on the Liddell family."

Noelle scoffed. "For what do I need to rely on the Liddell family? To starve? The Liddell family's team didn't even make it to the finals, and your AI project failed."

His expression turned somewhat ugly. "Didn't Frank say he would hand the company over to you? This time, when you go back, quit your job at Maple Enterprise and make them lose their bidding qualifications by telling the official that they were the ones who plotted against Liddell Corporation!"

"Mr. Donovan, did you brush your teeth this morning? Your breath's pretty foul today!" Noelle's gaze was full of mockery.

Seeing her expression, Donovan was a bit confused. "What do you mean by that? Everything I've arranged is for your good. After you obtain Frank's company, working for the Liddell family is what you should be doing.

"You shouldn't be working for outsiders or competing owith our own company. Call the official to clear things up and get your lawyer to withdraw the lawsuit!"

She chuckled. "When did I ever say I would withdraw the lawsuit?"

He froze for a moment, then became angry. "Are you playing with me? Didn't you just agree to it?"

"Agree? Don't flatter yourself."

"When you said I was right, wasn't that an acknowledgment?"

Her tone was light. "Oh right, I did say that. Do you want me to withdraw the lawsuit? That's not going to happen, but I can sue just one person."

Donovan's eyes narrowed with suspicion. "What do you mean?"

"Exactly what I said. Xenia or Lucas—you pick. I'll only sue one of them, and the other will be fine."

Inside the venue, things were lively when she entered.

She sat down and glanced at Grace. "Do you think my plan is too malicious?"

"No. Your plan is brilliant! It's the perfect way to expose their fake family ties and confront their hypocrisy! Let them feel the pain for themselves."

Grace had overheard the whole exchange. She had almost spoken up earlier, but Noelle didn't need her help.

Noelle nodded. "Right. Only when they experience the pain will they understand how I felt before."

She had decided to let them experience it; she wanted to see if their so-called sibling love would survive in terms of personal interests.

The game quickly began. As both teams entered, Noelle's gaze fell on Magnus, and her expression became somewhat distracted. After all, in her past life, he had never appeared.
