No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 385

Noelle looked at Blake standing in front of her and snapped. "Move!"

But Blake didn't bulge. "I was wondering why you'd suddenly changed this much. Turns out you've got a man backing you. Have you no shame?"

Noelle coldly replied, "How am I shameless? Magnus and I are just friends."

"It's obvious to anyone that Magnus is into you after how he defended you earlier, but if Alfred finds out about what's going on between you and Magnus, won't he be furious?"

Xenia's words were meant to provoke. She hoped to see the panic on Noelle's face, but the latter remained unfazed.

Instead, Blake was stunned. "What do you mean, Xenia? What does she have to do with Mr. Parham?"

He had no idea about the events that had happened since he just returned.

"I heard from Donovan that apparently, Noelle and Alfred are very close. He even gave her shares in a small tech company."

Blake immediately understood. So it was a sugar daddy situation.

He glared at Noelle and scowled. "It seems I've underestimated you. No wonder you're so bold now since you've latched onto Mr. Parham."

He was utterly disappointed that Noelle had stooped to such behavior.

Noelle's gaze turned icy. "I'll say this one last time. Alfred is my friend."

She didn't want to waste time arguing and turned to leave, but Blake said, "I'm not done talking! Who said you could leave? If Mom and Dad knew about your disgraceful behavior, they'd be rolling in their graves!"

Noelle's expression darkened. She stepped forward to grab Blake by the collar. "You're not worthy of bringing up Mom and Dad."

"How am I not worthy? Are you?"

Noelle threw a punch and knocked Blake to the ground. He could no longer get back up and stared at her in shock. He'd thought the previous incident was an accident, but now it was clear that Noelle's skills were far superior.

He looked at the unfamiliar Noelle and felt deeply conflicted.

Blake tried to stop her but realized he was no match for her. As he watched her walk away, he felt a growing unease. She had grown stronger, and this wasn't the sweet sister who used to cling to him.

Once outside, Noelle composed herself as if nothing had happened.

The dinner party soon ended. Noelle found Grace and asked, "How's the autograph collection going?"

"Pretty smoothly. I told them I was from Team Yole. A lot of classmates were fans and were happy to get autographs and take pictures."

"It's getting late. Let's go."

As they were leaving, Noelle walked over to Magnus and Michael to say goodbye.

Magnus followed her. "Let's leave together. This dinner party is pretty boring anyway."
