No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 387

Noelle noticed the bodyguards close in around her and knew Blake had come prepared.

She took a few steps back and reminded him, "What you're doing is illegal."

"You're my biological sister. Even if you call the police, they'd take it as a domestic affair."

Blake closed in on her step by step. "So what's it going to be? Are you coming with me, or should I make my move? Choose."

Noelle sneered. "Do I even have a choice?" It was clear she didn't and had to follow him. Blake was the same as always and was completely unyielding.

Blake walked up to her, snatched her phone, and glared at her contacts. "This is the school doctor you mentioned, right? Too bad he can't save you this time."

Noelle looked at the bodyguards closing in and knew she couldn't fight her way out. There were too many of them, and she'd only get hurt if she resisted.

She knew Blake well enough to know that a confrontation wouldn't end well for her, so she gave up resisting and allowed herself to be dragged into the car.

Blake sat beside her in the car, and his tone softened slightly. "You've upset Frank so much he's fallen ill. You've also thrown Donovan's company into chaos, but you're still our sister no matter what. Just apologize, and all this will be water under the bridge."

Noelle stayed silent with a cold expression.

Blake glared at her. "I'm talking to you. You've always been obedient and sensible, and everyone around me praises me for having such a wonderful sister. Don't disappoint me."

"Are you done talking?" Noelle snapped and turned to him. "Did they tell you I've severed ties with the Liddells? Donovan agreed to it himself."

"He may have agreed, but I didn't," Blake replied.

"That's not what you said at the dinner party, Mr. Liddell," Noelle coldly said.

When Blake had been humiliated at the dinner party, he'd declared he'd no longer acknowledge her.

"I'm your brother, not some Mr. Liddell! I was just mad, and I couldn't lower myself to give in to you with so many people watching, could I?"

Blake took out an Hermès box. "I bought two scarves. One for you and the other for Xenia. They're the latest styles all ladies are into. You can pick them first."

Noelle glanced at the scarves and mockingly said, "Give them both to Xenia."

"No way. One of these is for you."

Her punch landed so hard that Blake instantly passed out. Blood streamed from his nose.

The driver glanced back at the commotion in the rear seat and panicked. "Mr. Liddell!"

"Pull over!" Noelle grabbed Blake by the throat and threatened the driver. "Or I'll snap his neck."

The terrified driver immediately pulled to the side of the road. Letting Blake go, she took the chance to get out of the car and escaped.

But just as she turned, Blake regained consciousness. He pressed a cloth over her mouth and nose before dragging her back into the car.

Blake's voice echoed in her ears. "I prepared this for you earlier, Noelle. You were so cooperative I didn't have to use it, but you've disappointed me."

Noelle realized the cloth was laced with anesthetic. Her vision blurred, and she lost consciousness.

Blake released her and took the napkin handed to him by the bodyguard.

The driver nervously suggested, "Maybe we should tie her hands, Mr. Liddell." Noelle seemed stronger than she looked.
