No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 576

"That's enough, Cedric! Can't you see that you're just being annoying?" Noelle replied.

She shot him a glance before turning to see Raymond on the chair with his head tilted up. She walked over and asked, "Raymond, are you okay? Is your nose still bleeding?"

"It's much better now," Raymond replied.

He noticed Cedric was still standing next to Noelle, so he asked, "Wanna head back to campus together later?"

"Yeah, let me treat you to a meal at the cafeteria. I'm really sorry for today," she replied.

"It's no problem."

He could tell that Noelle did not want to talk to Cedric beside her, so he stood up and said, "Let's go now, or there won't be any food left at the cafeteria."

Noelle nodded in agreement and was ready to leave when Cedric grabbed her by the arm. "We're not done talking yet."

Cedric did not want to let her go. He had a bad feeling that if she left, their relationship would be over.

Noelle frowned and said, "Let go of me."

Cedric remained stubborn. "I'm not letting you go."

Raymond stepped forward and said, "Can't you see that Noelle doesn't want you bothering her? At least have some self-awareness."

Cedric glared at him and replied, "You'd better stay far away from her."

With that, he lifted Noelle onto his shoulder and carried her back to the boxing area.

Raymond wanted to intervene, but the gym's owner stopped him. "What do you think you're doing?"

"I'm going to help!" Raymond replied.

"Help with what exactly? That man ain't your average Joe! He bought this gym just so that he could practice boxing with Noelle!"

Noelle felt her heart sink. She could not believe that he would use jealousy as a reason. Then, she snorted and replied, "And what right do you have to accuse me?"

Cedric was frustrated. "I'm your boyfriend. Am I not allowed to be jealous? I can always spar with you. You don't need to look for someone else."

"I'm not sparring with you anymore, Cedric. I'm not a puppet that does whatever you want me to do!" Noelle replied.

Cedric was so furious that he could feel his temples throbbing. He placed his hands on her shoulders and explained to her.

"I'm not trying to control you, Noelle. Put yourself in my shoes and think. Wouldn't you be upset if you saw me getting too close to another woman?"

She stared at him intensely and replied, "So you do get it after all. That night, who else were you with other than your sickly grandmother?"

"I was at the hospital with my grandmother. Who else could I have been with?" Cedric's patience was running thin. "Noelle, are you doing all of this because you've fallen for that guy from earlier?"

Tears started flowing down her cheeks as she shouted, "You bastard! How dare you turn this around and blame me instead?! You were with another woman that night, weren't you? How long do you plan on lying to me?!"
