Noelle was surprised Mia was asking for a break-up. She hadn't expected Mia to be even more decisive than she was.
Donovan was stunned. "You're breaking up with me?"
"Yes. I never imagined the Liddell family would be like this. That woman is wearing my dress! Yet you are agreeing to let her take it back, change out of it, before returning it to me?"
Mia snorted. "Donovan, do you really think I care about the dress? How dare you humiliate me like this?"
When Mia heard Donovan's reply, she realized he had never liked her. Their entire relationship had been a lie. She might have a physical disability, but that didn't mean she would let a man deceive her feelings.
Donovan finally realized that Mia overheard everything. He quickly tried to explain. "Mia, that's not what I meant."
Mia remained firm. "I'm giving you a chance to make things right."
Donovan flushed red with anger. He spun around and strode toward Xenia, making her instinctively step back in fear.
Wyatt immediately blocked him. "Donovan, what are you doing? Are you seriously planning to strip Xenia of her clothes? That's not appropriate!"
Donovan stared at the two of them coldly. He commanded, "Take off the dress. Otherwise, both of you can get the hell out of the Liddell family."
The Liddell Corporation had received significant investments and business deals from the Cantrell family. The company would be on the brink of bankruptcy if he broke up with Mia now.
Donovan's expression turned ugly at the thought.
He fixed his gaze on Xenia. "I know you've always been smart. I hope you make the right choice now."
Xenia was furious. Of all the days to cross paths with Mia…
But Mia and Noelle ruined everything. When Noelle saw Xenia return wearing the waitress's uniform, she immediately laughed. "This outfit suits you. After all, stolen things were never really yours to begin with."
Xenia sobbed and ran to Wyatt. "Wyatt, I didn't steal anything! This uniform is so ugly… If people see me like this, they'll think I work here. It's so embarrassing!"
This was all Wyatt's fault. His stupidity had caused her to be humiliated by that crippled woman.
Wyatt turned to Noelle and demanded, "You should change into a waitress uniform, too. That way, Xenia won't feel awkward."
Noelle's expression turned unpleasant at the unreasonable demand. "Why don't you change into a staff uniform instead? That way, you and Xenia can match as a couple."
Wyatt stiffened. "Why should I wear a staff uniform? Noelle, what are you talking about?"
"I'm just repeating your words," Noelle replied coolly.
