Sean fumed and slammed the phone down.

He went to invite Katherine to dine at the Robsons‘ yesterday in a gentle tone, never expecting to be rejected.

Sean was in a foul mood. He summoned the manager and pointed at Adrian: “Charge him triple for today’s expenses.”

He wanted to see whether Adrian truly had money now.

The manager nodded repeatedly.

Geoffrey left work early. On his way home, he made sure to have someone prepare a bouquet.

Maureen watched Geoffrey being chauffeured around outside. She simply couldn’t believe he was someone drowning in debt.

Geoffrey replied without batting an eye: “Leftover flowers from a company event. No one wanted them. I remembered you love flowers, so I brought them home for you.”

Maureen accepted the bouquet. “Thanks.”

Then she added: “How about I visit your company tomorrow? Perhaps?”

“It’s fine. I’ll just take a distant look from afar,” Maureen replied.

Seeing no way to refuse, Geoffrey agreed

“Alright.”

He then went to his room to change clothes.

Once inside, he immediately called Wayne.

“Set up a charity company tonight. Get the owner and staff properly arranged.”

Wayne was cooking for his fiancee when the order came, his face twisting like a bitter gourd.

“Boss, why not just tell Mrs. Sutton the truth?

Women always care about money.”

“Just do it.” Geoffrey cut him off.

If Maureen discovered his remaining wealth, she’d file for divorce instantly.

He knew Maureen better than anyone–her greatest flaw was that soft heart.

Wayne had no choice but to leave his fiancee and make arrangements.
