Faye was about to plead again when she heard a group of people approaching from the elevator bank. She immediately looked over.
A group of men in suits were escorting a young man with a powerful presence. The man at the center stood tall and straight, his silver hair particularly striking. It was Ian.
He was slightly turning his head to listen to the man beside him, his gaze sharp, his steps steady.
Faye's heart began to pound.
Almost instinctively, she rushed toward Ian, shouting, "Ian!"
Her cry was loud and urgent, instantly shattering the orderly atmosphere in the lobby.
Everyone stopped and stared in astonishment at the girl who had just shouted.
Ian paused, turning to look at the woman rushing from the reception area. His deep, cold eyes fell on Faye, as sharp and devoid of warmth as a blade.
A chill ran through Faye under his gaze, but she braced herself and spoke. "Ian, please, for—for my sister's sake, save my father's company! You're my brother-in-law. You're the only one who can help us now."
Ian narrowed his eyes, exuding a coldness and indifference that seemed to freeze the air around him. He didn't seem to want to waste a single word on her.
Gavin, at his side, immediately blocked Faye. "Miss Yeaton, please watch yourself. Mr. Goodwin has no connection to you or the Yeatons."
Seeing the situation, someone made a gesture. "Mr. Goodwin, let's go."
Just as Ian was about to leave, Faye tried to rush forward again. Gavin signaled to the security guards on standby. "Stop her. Don't let her near Mr. Goodwin."
