Juelz gazed earnestly at Skylar and said, “The Castillo family developed the Soulroot Pill at great expense. It’s invaluable, and I must insist that you return it, Miss.”

Aimee fixed Skylar with a cold stare. “If you admit now, there may still be a chance for redemption.” The siblings had already implied that

Skylar was guilty of theft.

She had never even seen that pill, let alone touched it. In the end, it was just a convenient excuse for them to set her up.

“I didn’t take it,” Skylar firmly said.

“Then demonstrate your innocence–if you can,” Juelz said.

Skylar found it ridiculous. The siblings are the ones who claimed she stole something, so it was their responsibility to provide the evidence.

Since they failed to do so, it only proved they were making baseless accusations.

Skylar stated clearly, “If you can provide evidence, then feel free to do whatever you want–I won’t resist.”

“Stop making excuses. If you choose to continue being unreasonable, don’t blame us for the consequences that follow.” Juelz snapped at his

men, “Remove that mask! Let’s find out who she is–who dares to steal from the Castillo family!”

The supervisor rushed over in a panic and shouted, “Everyone, stay still! Don’t move!”

The security guards stopped when they saw the supervisor coming. Out of breath and sweating, he stepped in front of Skylar and declared,

“This lady is our honored guest. No one can touch her.”

Aimee couldn’t accept it. “An honored guest? What a joke! She’s just a coward, too afraid to show her face!”

Juelz interjected softly, “Mr. Poole, you can’t possibly have been misled, can you?” Juelz’s icy gaze surveyed the rather gaudy mask adorning Skylar’s face, and his lips curled downwards in apparent disdain. “An honored guest dressed like this? Mr. Poole, you’d better verify her

credentials.”

“Mr. Castillo, the official invitation I issued cannot be mistaken,” Vicente stated, as he reached into his pocket and respectfully presented the invitation. “Miss Sue, here is your official invitation. I sincerely apologize. On behalf of my staff, I regret that the guards at the entrance did not recognize you, leading to this unfortunate situation.”

Sue was the primary supplier of medicinal herbs to various pharmaceutical companies and prestigious medical families–essentially, she was their lifeline, someone they dared not offend. Vicente wouldn’t dream of offending her, nor would any of the pharmaceutical representatives present, who relied on her medicinal herbs for their livelihood.

“Who would have guessed that she was Miss Sue? Her pills are so powerful that they are practically priceless! Why would she ever bother stealing some worthless Castillo family knockoff?”

“Exactly! What on earth is the Castillo family doing, tarnishing her reputation like this?”

“I always thought Miss Castillo wasn’t smart, but it turns out Mr. Castillo is just as foolish. Did they have the audacity to offend someone like that? The Castillo family is finished.”

Many of the corporate partners present, who had dealings with the Castillo family, were already calculating how to end their partnerships as soon as they returned.

Juelz’s head spun with dawning horror. The masked woman was none other than Sue–the very person his father had sternly instructed him to secure cooperation with at all costs. Now, due to his momentary outburst, any hope of working with Sue has gone up in smoke. His father would be furious when he found out.
