I just arrived at the staircase when a big hand seized me. I stiffened but was ready to hit back, out of instincts. What stopped me from hitting back was a chiselled face looking at me at close range and carrying a slight smile.
“Mr. Quinn, it’s you!” I was astonished.
“Are you very surprised?” When he realized that I recognized him, Kenneth Quinn quickly let go of me. Then he stared at my face and commented with a frown, “Hmm, I think you look better without makeup.”
“… makeup is for work.” I mocked.
“Well, the saying goes, ‘a girl dolls herself up for her admirer’, your makeup is so ugly, because you don’t have an admirer, do you?”
“Er … it isn’t so bad, or?” I touched my face, feeling deeply embarrassed. Luckily, it was already dark, otherwise, he would notice that I was blushing.
“Ugly, it’s horrendous!” He even pinched my face, I stepped back and protested in a girlish manner. It felt a lot like we were flirting at that scene.
“Hey, Mr. Quinn, welcome, welcome. I’m Molly, the manager here. May I ask, are you here by yourself? Would you like a big room or small one?”
Even before the high-pitched voice from my back came to stop, Molly had already past where I was standing. Her sexy body glided graciously towards Mr. Quinn. Standing in front of him now, with exaggerated movements, she wanted to caress his body.
“Go away!”
