Alexia’s heart clenched at the drop of the doctor's report, she felt those words nagged in her head for the unkempt times, and the world felt like it stopped moving for a while, the tears rolled freely down her cheeks, and she stared at Axel.

He exhaled slightly and pulled her into a hug, he was in rage, deep rage and he was not going to spare Mr Austin for doing any of this, he was going to hunt that family he had always secured and kill them right in front of him, then he was going to pierce a knife deep into his chest and watch he beg for death he was going to make sure Austin felt the same pain Alex was feeling right now.

Axel darted his gaze in the direction of the doctor.

“Do whatever it is in your power to get a new heart, and make the operation a success.” his voice was faint, the news had hit him so hard and made him almost cower to his knees but he was the man here and he needed to be strong for Alexia and Hazel.

“I will make sure of that, but the heart replacement might cost Al.…”

“Fucking do it!” Axel yelled trying to keep the pain in check, His eyes were red and they scared the doctor, he nodded and made a quick bow.

“I would put calls across a few hospitals and make the surgery a success. Before that, I shall take my leave.”

Axel nodded to him and he walked away.

“Doctor….” Alexia called and he stopped halfway.

“Can I see him?”

“No…. You can't.… he is in a critical moment now and can not be disturbed.”

Alexia nodded faintly in Axel’s arm, she hugged him tightly and cried so well.

“He isn't leaving right?”

“Not at all Alexia, he has no right to leave before me, I will kill him before he dies completely if he ever makes that mistake.”

His hands gripped her chin and he stared into her eyes.

“Look here…. I know how you feel okay? I understand perfectly well, Alex is my brother and he can't die I will do anything within my power money-wise, to keep him alive okay?” he assured and Alexia nodded her head to him.

Hazel walked into the scene, her legs halted as she met them in that state, something moved her to a halt, her heart clenched, and she tried to console herself that something terrible must have happened for Axel to hold Alexia that close but the jealous part of her could not stand seeing her boyfriend in such state with another person.

Axel’s side eyes captured her, he darted his head in her direction and spotted her standing there.

“Hey, momma. You are here?” he had ordered a driver to pick her up and return her to the hospital cause he didn't want to risk anything.

The look on Hazel’s face told him that everything wasn't fine.

He pulled away from Alexia gently after seating her on the provided chair, and then he took a few steps closer to Hazel, his hands gripping hers.

He kissed them softly and pulled her into a hug.

“It's Alexia momma… you shouldn't look this way.”

His soft-spoken words made her feel guilty, she shouldn't have done that.

She placed her head comfortably on his chest and whispered softly.

“I am sorry daddy… I was too carried away.”

“It's okay momma. Alex has been diagnosed with heart failure and your best friend is grieving.”

It had just been down on her that the person in question was Tracy and she didn't have to feel bad seeing her best hugging her brother.

“I am sorry for my unthoughtfulness. I haven't stopped seeing Alexia as Tracy and that implies my best friend and my man and not my man’s sister and him.”

“It's okay momma,” he replied and dropped a kiss on her forehead.

Hazel pulled away from him and walked closer to Alexia, her heart dropped as she recalled Axel's words to her, ‘Alex was diagnosed with heart failure.
