Chapter 31.

“Guess what bestie.” Mira giggled immediately after the biology lecturer left the class and Elena flashed her a smile.

“You have been so eager to say this, what's this exciting feeling,” Elena asked with a bold smile on her face as she pulled her phone out of her bag.

Mira’s eyes widened as she stared at the phone in Elena’s hand.

“Where did you get that from?”Mira asked with a wild expression pointing at the phone. Elena stared at her phone then back at Mira.

“This?” she asked wiggling the phone and Mira scoffed.

“What else are you holding?”

Elena’s cheeks reddened as the evocation of yesterday flushed into her head.

“Are you blushing?” Mira sked bewildered and Elena batted her lashes.

“No… I mean. This. Sir Dante got it for me.”

“Oh my Elena! What did you do to be on his good side?” Mira giggled reaching out to the phone and Elena smiled ending it with a shrug.

“I don't know... He has just been such a sweetheart.” she admitted biting on her lower lips. She was a huge liar right now. She was fucking him and he was paying her for that.

“Okay, this is so sweet of him. An iPhone 15 series, he definitely has you in mind.” Mira winked with a giggle and Elena rolled her eyeball.

“Snap out of the silly fantasy Mira. You and I know sir Dante and I can't be together.”

“Says who Lina. I mean look how well he has been treating you.”

Elena stared at Mira for a couple of minutes, as though she was giving it a thought, but she suddenly rolled her eyes concluding that she and Dante could never work. It was one of the honest reasons she didn't want to tell Mira about everything happening.

“Are you…”

“What's the surprise you have been so eager to tell me?” Elena asked immediately and Mira’s words trailed off. Her expression elevated immediately and she brought out the wine iPhone 15.

“Twinning…” she giggled happily and Elena’s eyes widened.”

“O. M. G Mira! What jackpot did you hit.”

“One you wouldn't want to believe.”

“Spill every damn thing out and do not miss out on any part.”

Mira giggled handing the phone to Elena.

“So I broke my bank yesterday to go get a few things for my family since we lack food stuff at the new place we called home and I bumped into a man! Fuck!” she placed her hand on her chest basking on the feel he brought to her yesterday, while Elena just watched her with a smile.

“He was so damn handsome, and I won't miss out on his manners.”

“Someone is in love…” Elena gave her a wink and she took it wholeheartedly.

“I won't deny the soft spot, but at least not to be termed as love yet.” she pouted her lips at her last word and Elena smiled, overly excited for her besfriend.

“So after the whole bumping, I realized my phone had broken, and to my surprise, he volunteered to get me a new phone, and boom! I thought he was joking, but here we are,” she concluded stretching her both hands to the phone in Elena’s hand and Elena made a happy pout.

“This is so sweet Mira. Come here girl.” she spread her hands wild and Mira fell into it. Elena patted her back gently for a while till after a while before pulling out.

“I definitely can't miss out on the fact that he bought me almost the whole mall and paid like it was nothing. I had a lot of interrogation from Mum and Dad yesterday but I didn't have the balls so I told them you did it for me.”

“Oh, my Mira. That's a huge one. Mum and Dad would not stop thanking me even in years to come. One who has the accolade deserves it.

Mira squeezed her lips feeling a bit guilty.

“I know right? I will inform them at a perfect time.”

“When he becomes your Mr. Perfect yeah?”

“Definitely Lina! You needed to see the height differences, for the first time I am falling inlove with an older man! Yet he looked downright handsome.”

“Okay, that's the whole twist girly! And with this expression, You have definitely found your prince charming.

“I sure have.” Mira giggled and Elena ruffled Mira’s hair.

“I cannot express how happy I am seeing you this happy Mira. And I want you like this forever.”

“Forever.” Mira cupped Elena’s cheeks and they smiled happily at each other.

Elena fought against the guilt that was eating her up. She couldn't help it. She couldn't even help the feeling that ran through her body. She was a snitch right now. Mira and Elena have been friends since kindergarten and they have made so much together for one party to become a snitch overnight. It was quite hard for Elena to swallow, she couldn't remember the last time she hadn't told her best friend stuff, but this felt totally awkward to her. She wanted to add an exciting plot to it by telling Mira that she was also at the mall yesterday with Dante, but she knew the next question that would be coming in. In between Elena was more than grateful that Mira didn't ask her about yesterday, she definitely would be cut red-handed.

“The campus is organizing a pool party, for both students and professors. Have you heard of it?” Mira asked after a while and Elena spared Mira a glance from her laptop.
