Once CastOff Wife, Now Untouchable Queen

Chapter 135 Foolishness

Brad let out a long and heavy sigh. Ty, open your eyes. Aella doesn’t love you anymore.”

The two men stared each other down. The silence between them grew thick.

Tyrone’s face turned hard and cold. She does. She’ll always love me.

Brad’s mouth curled into a cruel grin. His laugh was sharp and mocking. You really don’t know, do you? She told me everything. She said she felt nothing when you went off to Zera and her kid. She even said she was happy drinking with Sixer.”

Their eyes clashed again, unflinching.

Tyrone stayed quiet. His jaw tightened.

Brad leaned in, his voice cutting deep. If she still cared for you, she wouldn’t be pushing you into Zera’s arms.

He narrowed his gaze and struck harder.

You don’t even love her. Be honest, Ty. Can you really live with her in another man’s bed?

When Brad finally left, Tyrone stepped onto the balcony. He lit a cigarette and watched the smoke twist into the night air. He admitted what he had buried deep. He did not love Aella.

But there was something else he could not deny. He’d never let her end up in another man’s hands.

By five in the morning, Tyrone still hadn’t slept. The bed was empty. Aella had not returned.

It was the second time she had shut off her phone and stayed out until dawn.

At six, the butler from the estate called. Edwin had fallen and been rushed to the hospital.

When Tyrone arrived, the Winters were already gathered. All of them.

Inside the ward, Ralph’s voice rumbled through the room. Tyrone, why the hell are you the only one here?

Tyrone lowered his head and said nothing.

Virginia broke the silence quickly. Young people struggle in the mornings. It’s fine. We’re all

here.

Ralph’s voice cut sharper. Your grandfather’s in the hospital, and she’s still sleeping? Call her.

Tell her to bring breakfast.

The tired lines under Tyrone’s eyes deepened. Dad, I’ll ask her to come later.

His sister Raine noticed his unease. She pulled out her phone and dialed Aella. Everyone heard the hollow ring end in silence. The phone was off.

Ralph turned toward Virginia.

Call the butler. Tell him to drag her out if he has to.

Virginia hesitated. It was the holidays. Edwin was in the hospital. Everyone was here, except Aella. Her absence was shameful.

Just as Virginia reached for her phone, Raine’s call lit up again. Aella was calling back.

Rain answered and then turned to the family.

She said she’s on her way.”

Tyrone’s fists curled tight at his sides.

He had called her again and again through the night. He had sent message after message.

The second she powered her phone on, she still didn’t call him back.

Soon after, Aella arrived.

She knocked, stepped inand every face turned.

The smell of alcohol surrounded her. She had not fully sobered up.

What caught every eye was her coat. A man’s coat. Bright in color. Bold. Clearly not Tyrone’s.

Aella swayed but forced a smile.

Happy holidays.”

She greeted his parents politely and walked straight to Tyrone.

What happened? How did Edwin end up in the hospital?

Tyrone’s expression turned darker than ever.

She could barely keep her balance, yet she still forced herself to speak with false composure. For a moment, it almost impressed him.

Before anyone else could speak. Tyrone pulled her against him.

Ralph pointed at her with fury in his eyes. Tyrone, what the hell is going on?

Tyrone’s face stayed unreadable. The holidays. Aella had a few drinks with her parents.

He didn’t give them time to argue. She won’t be of help here. I’ll take her home.”

He dragged her out of the room without a second thought.

At the elevator, he tore the coat from her shoulders and threw it in the trash.

Aella bent to pick it up, but Tyrone lifted her over his shoulder and carried her inside.

He didn’t stop until they reached home.

Before she could speak, he shoved her straight into the bathroom.

Even in her drunken haze, she understood. She had stayed out all night.

She had returned reeking of alcohol. She had been wrapped in another man’s coat.

He thought she was filthy.

She showered, changed into clean pajamas, dried her hair, and stepped out.

Tyrone sat on the bed, his face shadowed, his eyes never leaving her.

Aella gave a careless laugh. I know you’re dying to fight. But let me nap first. When I wake up, we can fight all you want.

Her indifference set his temper ablaze.

He grabbed her wrist and forced her to stop. His voice was sharp and low. You vanish during the holidays. You drink yourself into a mess. Maybe I’ve spoiled you too much.

Aella jerked her hand free and climbed into bed. Her eyes widened with false innocence. I only went out with friends to celebrate. You didn’t have to explode like this.”

The veins in Tyrone’s temple throbbed.

His voice dropped into a colder tone. You turned off your phone. You stayed out until morning. You showed up drunk in another man’s coat, in front of my family. And now you call that just a celebration?

Aella lowered her eyes.
