Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress novel Chapter 1865

Chapter 1865: Extra: V

[Extra 11: Yugi]

"Hah!" Yugi laughed as he watched the live broadcast of Zoren announcing to the world whose woman the world shouldn’t mess with.

He smirked. "I guess that should fix this all."

After all, rumors about Penny’s affair had been rampant, and they were getting annoying. Just like today, the reporters were getting out of hand. Fortunately, Zoren came just in time.

"Well, I guess I should see them first," Yugi pushed himself up and walked out of his office.

But on his way to Penny’s office, he caught Patricia, Shawn, Teddy, and Hayley walking in his direction. The look on their faces made him take a step back.

"Uh oh," he muttered even before he could hear what made those four look so upset.

"Sir Yugi!" Hayley called, her eyes burning in a way that reminded him of the angry Jessa. "Why didn’t you tell us Father is actually... him?!"

"It’s not me!" Yugi’s breath hitched, and out of instinct, he turned and fled for his life. "I’m just trying to save your jobs!"

[Extra 12: The Lingering Questions]

"Hmm..."

"Hmmmm...."

Zoren glanced at his wife, who was rubbing her chin while deep in thought. The two of them, together with Atlas, were just idling in the back patio for some fresh air. While Renny and Chunchun were playing not far away, Penny had been humming loudly.

"What is it?" Finally, Zoren asked, setting down the paper he was reading.

Atlas didn’t say a word, but he glanced at his sister. His basket, where his kids were, sat on the table between them.

Penny smacked her lips and looked at them. "Ugh. I’m just thinking — who is that kid and the woman on Pierson Island?"

Zoren and Atlas went quiet and exchanged a look. They then faced Penny.

"I mean, they just appeared and then disappeared!" she intoned. "Are they our enemies? Or allies? Should we be worried about them?"

"Whether they were enemies or allies doesn’t matter," said Atlas flatly. "They won’t bother you."

When Atlas said something like that, she believed it. Even so, her curiosity itched to know.

"If they are from the secret society, then I’m sure First Brother would be the first to know," Zoren remarked, and Atlas nodded. "And since they haven’t bothered us, it’s better not to worry about them. Just being extra cautious is enough."

"I agree with him," Atlas backed up. "Think of it as them being part of your imagination. After all, you’re the only person who saw them."

Penny frowned. "Are you saying I’m crazy?"

But Atlas only shrugged. She sighed and leaned back.

"Is it part of my imagination?" she wondered to herself, but she knew it wasn’t. "Well, I guess you guys are right! There’s no need to worry about that when First Brother already sacrificed so much for everyone just so we won’t worry about such a thing!"

Zoren offered his wife a subtle smile and nodded. His smile, however, froze when his gaze landed on the babies in the baskets.

"First Brother, why do you keep them always in their baskets?" he asked out of pure curiosity. "You should buy them a much more comfortable carrier."

"They like the basket."

"Did they say they like it?" Penny asked, earning a cold glare from her brother.

"Apparently, they can’t speak normally. They keep stuttering, so I’m hiring a speech therapist. If you know one, let me know."

Penny and Zoren: "..."

The couple just looked at Atlas and then at the babies, who were too quiet in their own baskets.

"Well..." Penny cleared her throat, moving her face closer to the table where the babies were. Looking at them, she couldn’t help but smile. "... I guess they like these baskets after all."

"Mhm." Zoren hummed. "They look so comfortable in them."

For a moment, the couple just stared at the babies before they looked at each other. The corners of their mouths hooked up, wondering how their children would turn out.

’I hope they got her smile,’ he thought, and Penny also thought, ’I hope they got his eyes.’

Meanwhile, Atlas looked at the couple flatly while the babies were just staring at them, as flat as their fathers.
