Chapter 106: The Final Departure
Chapter 106: The Final Departure
(Marcus Blackwood’s POV)
This marked the first time I had erupted in anger towards Sophia. My eyes held no tolerance as my Alpha
aura filled the room with overwhelming pressure.
The air itself seemed to vibrate with my fury. Sophia cowered against the hospital bed, her face pale with
terror
“You destroyed everything,” I snarled, my voice barely human. “Everything I tried to build with Elena
A pack nurse rushed into the room, drawn by the sound of shattering glass. Her eyes widened at the cry fragments scattered across the floor.
“is everything alright?” she asked nervously, her gaze darting between us.
“Just clumsiness,” I said coldly, my voice returning to its normal tone. “Nothing to concern yourself with.”
The nurse hesitated, clearly sensing the tension, but my dismissive stare sent her scurrying from the room.
Once we were alone again, I turned back to Sophia. My gaze was cold as winter
winter steel
“Oliver is innocent,” I declared Till keep my promise to ensure he recovers from his injuries”
Sophia’s eyes filled with desperate hope “Marcus, thank you-”
“As for you,” I continued, cutting her off, “I will no longer interfere in your affairs. I won’t see you again.
Her face crumpled. ‘But Marcus-
“You are not fit to be my Luna,” I stated with finality
I stormed out of the room, my Alpha authority radiating displeasure. The hospital staff pressed
against the walls as I passed

“Marcus-“I called after him, struggling to get out of bed.

My bare foot came down hard on a shard of glass. Pain shot through me like lightning. I lost my balance and
crashed to the floor.
Blood seeped from the cut, but the physical pain was nothing compared to the agony in my chest
My phone rang Heidi Cross’s name flashed on the screen
“You ruined my life!” she screamed the moment I answered “Marcus confronted me! My family is abandoning
me!”
I pressed the phone closer to my ear, my hands trembling.
“They’re forcing me to divorce, Heidi continued, her voice breaking. “My brother won’t even look at This is all your fault
Heidi –
“Be careful, Sophia,” she warned, her voice turning cold. “You underestimated Elena’s influence over the
Alpha.”
The line went dead. I stared at the phone, my world crashing down around me
My hands clenched against the cold hospital floor. Hatred filled my eyes like poison.
I had underestimated Elena Blackwood. But this wasn’t over.
(Marcus Blackwood’s POV)
On my way back to the estate, Adrian’s car was forced to stop by my Phantom Rolls–Royce Jacob Hayes exited his vehicle as Amber Stone spoke to me through the partition.
Adrian lowered his window, his expression carefully neutral. “Is there a problem?”
“It seems to be Marcus Blackwood, Jacob informed him quietly.
I approached Adrian’s car, my Alpha presence pressing down like a physical weight. “Where did you take
Elena?”
Adrian’s amber eyes met mine without flinching. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
I leaned into the car, my face inches from his. “Elena is my mate. I demand her return.”
“I did arrange transport for her, Adrian admitted calmly. “At her request. But I don’t know where she went.”
His composure infuriated me. “You’re lying.”
“She was the one who wanted to leave you,” Adrian said simply.
The words hit me like a physical blow. I grew silent, my golden eyes hardening with the truth I didn’t want to
accept.
“May I leave now?” Adrian asked politely
I stood up straight without a word. Jacob drove off, leaving me watching their taillights disappe
night.
Back in my car, I turned to Amber Stone. “Monitor Adrian’s movements. Find Elena at all costs.
“Yes, Alpha.”

“Take me to the Northern Territory Central Healing Institute,” I ordered. “I have questions for Director Baker”
(Marcus Blackwood’s POV)
I arrived at the institute and went straight to Director Baker’s office. He was on a call but ended it
immediately upon seeing me.
“Alpha Blackwood,” he greeted respectfully. “What brings you here?”
“I need Elena’s transfer report,” I demanded.
Director Baker looked surprised but handed over the file. I opened it and froze.

I crumpled the corner of the report. “Why wasn’t I informed?”
“Elena requested confidentiality,” Director Baker explained carefully. “She faced unfair treatment here with no

His words stung like silver. I realized Elena wasn’t always unhappy. She had simply lost her smile around me.
I stared at “Riverstone Medical Center on the report. The destination of her new life
I placed the file down and left without another word.
(Elena Blackwood’s POV)
That afternoon, I received a text from Marcus saying he would be late. I felt nothing but indifference.
1 blocked his phone number and pack communication link. The digital severance felt surprisingly liberating.
I packed three suitcases with my personal belongings. Everything else stayed behind, remnants of a life I no longer wanted.
I placed the signed mate bond severance papers and my work phone in a box in the Great Hall. Then I deleted my biometric access from the estate’s security system.
All traces of my life here were now erased.
I called Jacob Hayes. He arrived quickly, surprised at how little luggage I had.
“Gone, let’s go,” I said simply.
Jacob helped load my suitcases without questions. He drove me to a hotel near the airport.
“Marcus arranged for your brother to be escorted through a special channel at nine tomorrow morning,” he informed me.
“Thank you, Jacob,” I said sincerely. “Please tell Adrian I’ll always remember his kindness.”
After Jacob left, I checked into the hotel. Tomorrow would begin my new life.
(Elena Blackwood’s POV)
Early the next morning at the airport, I waited anxiously. Soon, a special vehicle from Shadowme
Center arrived alongside Adrian’s car.
Medical personnel quickly assisted David, transferring him into their professional care. Relief flooded through me seeing him safe.
Adrian approached me. “Remember to call when you reach Riverside City”
“I won’t forget,” I promised. “Please tell Dorothea I’m waiting for her in Riverside City.”
